2. Joe is too stupid to see

That right or wrong, the drones are intended to minimize American soldier deaths, whereas invading another country was to make money on the more deaths of Americans.

3. The more

and more I learn about the Drone decision, I approve of President Obama's decision. Does anyone have any more examples of Drones killing Americans other than this alleged terrorist and his 16 year old son? The pundits and critics have just put a blanket statement out there claiming Obama indiscriminately targeted Americans without providing the circumstances and what this alleged innocent victim did. A lot of this intelligence was gathered under the Bush Administration also but the Washington pundit asked the question about killing Americans as if he had little knowledge about the victim. I would bet he had the same knowledge about this gentleman during the Bush Administration involving his alleged terrorism. This man fled the country, and was on the run to escape prosecution. He took his son with him.

I'm also understanding the President made the decision to heightened the use of Drones and lessen the possibility of ground troops. That was his decision to make for prosecuting the War on Terrorism. Countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan are crying foul. In order for Pakistan to protect their own citizens, maybe they should go after their citizens attacking us. If I was in command, I would make the same decision. War is hell! So people need to accept the consequences of their actions.

25. When put in the context that if an American leaves and fights with the enemy

they effectively renounce their citizenship and are no longer an American. Even without that anyone fighting on the other side are fighting as enemy combatants. Depending on the circumstances they could end up being captured and then tried or killed as a result of conflict. I suppose some might argue that they are not in uniform but that is immaterial. Spies are not in uniform. Usually not in the uniform of the side they support. Were there not wars when one or both sides did not wear identifying military clothing? There can be enemies fighting actively that are not considered spies. It is when spies do what they are sent out to do that they are spies.

The Pakistan and Afghanistan attacks is an issue of concern. If Pakistan is so upset about the activity then why don't they forbid the use of drones in their airspace? Just shoot the damn things down. But if they are knowingly harboring the enemy and denying it their hands become unclean. They pretend to work with the USA so they can receive financial aid.

Afghanistan is different because they lost their sovereignty until the USA decides they are worthy of reclaiming it. Their air space doesn't belong to them until they do. So the USA can pretty much do whatever they want as long as others don't challenge them.

One of the major problem in my opinion are the repercussions of those drone attacks. If the collateral damage is significant and lasting. What will be the mindset of the people closely involved? Will it result in another bin Laden? Will it make it difficult for the country to become more civilize or will they revert back?

4. I left the room earlier when Scarborough said the GOP would come back strong in future elections

He compared it to the Democrats losing to Reagan, and how they won lots of seats in the following elections. Someone else reminded him that it took Democrats 12 years to recover, indicating the GOP may have a long haul ahead before they start winning a lot of seats.

Of course, the Democrats actually took a long hard look at why they lost, and made real changes. The GOP isn't making any real changes, they are still doing the same things that have made the party unpopular: intruding on women's reproductive health, voter suppression, cut social programs, tax cuts for the wealthy, subsidies for big business, unequal pay for women, etc.

But no one mentioned that on Morning Joe.

5. Joey's A Party Of One These Days...

He's one of the few unrepentant booooshies who constantly try to rewrite history...their own and dubya's. If Joey were the great pol he claimed he was or is he wouldn't be sitting in that TV studio...he'd be already stumping in Iowa. Joey's problem is his vindictiveness always rises above the rare glimpses of rational thinking. He doesn't like the teabaggers cause they think he's a RINO...he hates Rove for pushing him out of the party (not supporting his attempts to run for governor and/or senator) and pushing him out of the House altogether. Joey's out of the game...and not by his choice...thus he uses his teevee treehouse to pretend he's someone who he's not nor never will be....a real player inside the beltway.

internet post that I have ever seen. It is a classic textbook example.

Ad hominem vehement rhetoric - check
Abusive profane call out - check
Thought attribution - check
Theatrical non-apology apology - check
More name calling - check
Advocating physical harm - check

Not that I don't agree in principle....

12. I only saw a bit, but I think what he was saying was

that if you called Bush a war criminal, but now you support Obama using drones to target US citizens without due process, then you should apologize. He was saying that a lot of Democrats (he named Dianne Feinstein as one) were critical of Bush detaining people indefintely back in the day, are now silent on what he felt was a bigger violation of rights in the drone program killng people without giving them due process.

19. Any US Citizen who participates in the plotting and/or committing of acts of war or terrorism....

...against US personnel overseas loses the protections of due process. Therefore, they're treated just like any other enemy combatant or terrorist.

The 6th Amendment applies only to crimes committed in US states or territories, not to acts of war and/or terrorism committed against US personnel overseas.

21. This is what happens when

people conflate shit.

There is a Constitutional/legal basis and precedent for targeting Americans who take up arms against their country.

People have been conflating this memo with the Yoo torture memo. Where on earth has any civil liberties/human rights organization acknowledged that torture is allowed under any circumstance? Torture is a war crime.

Bush also lied us into an illegal war that resulted in the killing of more than 4,000 Americans and nearly a million Iraqis.

Objecting to the drone policy does not require the use of ridiculous false equivalencies. One can even criticize Obama for relying on them more than Bush did, but this program is not equivalent to torture.

The problem with George W. Bush was the totality of his policies - not just the torture memos. Scarborough doesn't know what he's talking about. And I hope he gets kicked off of MSNBC And gets placed on the network where he belongs Fox.

...because he's right.

Waco didn't have a damn trial or oversight or due process and neither did the recent idiot who had the baby down in a bunker....

17. I am interested in what the hearings will reveal. But here's the difference for Joe:

Bush cited non-existent WMD's in Iraq and the story/rationale for invading Iraq changed again and again when each one was disproven. I don't think anyone disputes that we are really and truly fighting Al Quaeda.

So Joe's argument is simply a big FAIL...

A guy called into C-Span's Washington Journal program this morning and commented on Marko Rubio and anything but a flattering manner. In passing he also said that Rubio was just another empty suit, he said (I paraphrase from memory) "I met Rubio once, he's just like Joe Scarboro, have you ever met him? Just another empty suit, nothing there"
