Who exactly profits from the proliferation of drones and weapons tech in this "war on terror"?

Especially within the US?

Meet the Contractors Turning America's Police Into a Paramilitary Force

January 30, 2013 |
The national security state has an annual budget of around $1 trillion. Of that huge pile of money, large amounts go to private companies the federal government awards contracts to. Some, like Lockheed Martin or Boeing, are household names, but many of the contractors fly just under the public's radar. What follows are three companies you should know about (because some of them can learn a lot about you with their spy technologies).

Follow the money. Occupy Wall Street identifies the banksters as the 1%. Arms dealers have since been discovered to be the .01%.

1. And here I was, all ready to answer your question.

And in case you haven't been reading DU enough, occupy failed and no longer exists while anonymous has been taken over by libertarians.

Resistance is futile, you fool!

14. i'm not naming any names

but wiki is:
Federal prosecution

In August 2012 the company agreed to pay $7.5 million in fines, without admitting guilt, to the US government after being charged with 17 counts of arms smuggling and other violations of US law, including possessing automatic weapons without registration, lying to federal firearms regulators about weapons provided to the king of Jordan, passing secret plans for armored personnel carriers to Sweden and Denmark, and illegally shipping body armor overseas. The company agreed to a "deferred prosecution" agreement with the government and accepted future monitoring and audits of its operations. Said FBI investigator Chris Briese of the settlement, "For an extended period of time, Academi/Blackwater operated in a manner which demonstrated systemic disregard for U.S. government laws and regulations. Today's announcement should serve as a warning to others that allegations of wrongdoing will be aggressively investigated."
