The only reason the GOPeas in Congress aren't shouting at 200 decibels about the drone policy

is because they can't wait until they occupy the WH again. Then lawd watch this 'legal, ethical and wise' policy take some turns.

Many Dems have sat like meek little mice and are still sitting that way. Their approval, tacit or otherwise, has helped finish whatever part of the Constitution W didn't get to. Bravo! What gems!

I did not think I was voting to let John Yoo or his doppelgänger back into the government to work his twisty little way with words.

This policy is wrong on so many levels that I am nauseous.

Hope and Change....
I hoped we would get change.

I'm sure there will be a listing of the administration's accomplishments. However, if this is the basic way government is to be run, in the dark with specious evidence collected by gawd knows who, there is no base of democracy for those positive events to stand on.

We are a nation run by outlaws. They are beholden only to themselves and their visions and definitions of wise, guilty, and terrorists among other things.

May God or whatever or whoever have mercy on us.

2. I look at it as the hinges of Democracy.

They link our branches of government and provide some way to help or hinder each other.
Your analogy works too.

3. Since when has that ever stopped them?

They HOWL about Obamacare, despite the fact that it was their idea. They SCREAM about Chuck Hagel, despite his being one of them. Why would they suddenly say "We'd better not protest this, that would be hypocritical"?

4. They started it and agree with it

Remember the debate question on this? Romney said he would take it up a notch because perhaps President Obama "was not being tough enough on terrorists".

There is no controversy with the republicans because they invented this form of warfare and fully support it.

The only reason they think they might "do more" is because they have not been fully read in on what is already being done.

Actually we have gotten change. We have gone from attempting to enforce democracy on occupied territories at the point of a gun and occasional drone attacks, to largely just drone attacks.

5. It's because most of them are racist...

...they could care less if US foreign policy is directed towards slaughtering brown, black, yellow, or red people. I don't envy their descendants...

6. And it's issues like this that might....

...allow the GOPers back in office. I don't know why we can't take the high road. Why do we have to take the low road like the republicans? How much do those drones cost? Maybe someone will pipe in and tell us... I think I seen it once...all I remember that they cost a pretty penny. We cannot afford the continuance of all this warfare! In dollars or lives.

7. I have been generally supportive of Obama.

But I am very unhappy with this drone policy. This is exactly what one would expect of W and his crew of sadists.

The idea of some of the victims being American doesn't bother me so much, since they presumably have joined with the opposition, and that is treasonous. What bothers me is the increased use of a technique that kills people - including children - without any kind of proof that they are guilty of anything.

It is sick and sad.

9. It's what happens when...

...you don't do what needs to be done when it's time to do it (i.e., as soon as PO got into office.)
I think Rahm had a lot to do with the mistakes of the first two years of POs first term. If not Rahm, it was the MIC twisting POs arm to not hold the Bush cabal responsible for what they did. Bush himself said he didn't get a doo-doo about International Law. And what was it he said about the Constitution... that it was just a piece of paper??

12. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely! We all know know we did not get the

dream version of Obama, he is a real man. He has flaws like all men (people)! This drone program is wrong, just like Guantanamo is wrong. You call out the wrong whether its the guy you don't like in power, or the guy you thought would right all wrongs in power! You stand for principal, not people. It does not mean, however, that you throw the baby out with the bath water.

13. Assassination has always been legal.

This isn't new. What's new is the attention it's receiving.

Congress has failed to use it's power of the purse to stop it for 224 years now.
