or specific to that racist, misogynist, homophobic asshole Ahmadinejad. Could go either way I suppose.

33. Here. LEARN something.

White men have never, ever, EVER been oppressed in the history of the world. Men of color have ALWAYS been oppressed. You cannot be racist against someone who has always had power.

And yes, we can call a white man whatever we want. Skin color makes all the difference. If you don't get that, you are beyond help.

Christ on a crutch, I am SICK of the stupid.

42. I am also sick of stupid.

Let me teach you something now.

The Arab slave trade was the practice of slavery in the Arab world, mainly in Western Asia, North Africa, East Africa, and certain parts of Europe (such as Iberia and Sicily) during their period of domination by Arab leaders. The trade was focused on the slave markets of the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa. People traded were not limited to a certain race, ethnicity, or religion, and included Arabs and Berbers, especially during the trade's early days.

During the 8th and 9th centuries of the Fatimid Caliphate, most of the slaves were Slavic Eastern Europeans (called Saqaliba). However, slaves were drawn from a wide variety of regions and included Mediterranean peoples, Persians, Turkic peoples, peoples from the Caucasus mountain regions (such as Georgia, Armenia and Circassia) and parts of Central Asia and Scandinavia, English, Dutch and Irish, Berbers from North Africa, and various other peoples of varied origins as well as those of African origins. Toward the 18th and 19th centuries, the flow of slaves from East Africa increased with the rise of the Oman sultanate which was based in Zanzibar. They came into direct trade conflict and competition with Portuguese and other Europeans along the Swahili coast.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_slave_trade

White people have been oppressed many many times in history by their own people and other people.

Slavery in early medieval Europe was relatively uncommon and in Western Europe slavery largely disappeared by the later Middle Ages. It was widespread at the end of antiquity. The etymology of the word slave comes from this period, the word sklabos meaning Slav. Slavery declined in the Middle Ages in most parts of Europe as serfdom slowly rose, but it never completely disappeared. It persisted longer in Southern and Eastern Europe. In Poland slavery was forbidden in the 15th century; it was replaced by the second enserfment. In Lithuania, slavery was formally abolished in 1588.

Throughout this period slaves were traded openly in most cities, including cities as diverse as Marseilles, Dublin, Verdun and Prague, and many were sold to buyers in the Middle East. The town of Caffa in the Crimea was called the capital of the medieval slave trade, but an overland route to Caliphate of Córdoba took pagan and dualist Slavs from Kiev through Lviv and Prague, at that time the borderlands of Christianity, this arduous land route competing with the North-South route by river which led to the Black Sea.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_medieval_Europe

Now, if want to ratiffy your statement and say something like. "I am no historian but in the history that I am aware of, which is only recent American history, there have never been oppressed white men."

See, that would be a correct statement.

And I also think that many people try to find racism in the opponents and cause faux outrage.

71. really a white person has never been oppressed? You heard of the inquisition, the holocaust, the

Armenian genocide?

Of course in those cases it was mostly white people oppressing other white people,

Then again I am not sure I would classify Iranians as people of color. Iranians are indo-European. They are not Arabs

In fact if you trace the origins of different ethnicities, we are all related

However, there is no question that African Americans have been the victims of more racism than any other ethnic group

79. Racism will never go away, until people recognize all racism

It doesn't matter the color of the skin, racism is racism. Saying you can not be racist against a person with white skin is not only racist, but it supports and justifies racism.

rac·ism
noun \ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi-\
Definition of RACISM
1
: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

If, in your mind, all other races besides the white people can NOT be racist you are assigning a superiority to all other races. You are a racist!

I got to see him many years ago...not that he was the president I wanted to see, but it was an opportunity....I took pictures and he looked like a chimp. My in-laws, die hard republicans, thought so too. He has the facial features.

This country has a horrible history of calling people of color monkeys. The language was used to dehumanize people. So what McCain said was wrong and he needs to be called out on it....here is another thing....did you see one democratic congressperson call Bush a chimp? That answer is NO.

19. Bush got the chimp image for several reasons

He was famous for his mediocrity in scholarship and in business, and infamous for mangling what was supposed to be his native tongue. In 2000, his most notable achievement was to be elected to the weakest governorship in the union. He insisted everything be boiled down to one-page memos. He kept failing upward thanks to a golden Rolodex. His most notable talent and skill was in schmoozing.

In short, Bush got his simian nickname the hard (on the rest of us) way: he earned it.

Whether McCain's comment about Ahmenajahd was racist, I won't pretend to mind-read but it wasn't necessarily so.

63. I found it was chuckle worthy

I didn't find it laugh out loud funny. But one thing I have noticed, some duers seem to be looking for things to get outraged about, and don't appear to have any kind of sense of humor, much less juvenile or any flavor.
