1. "Yeah! We hate the military. We hate the people in it."

"If these motherf*ckers would just die quietly with no fanfare, we'd all be a lot happier."

Does that pretty well sum up your feelings?

3. Yeah, those people who risk their lives

for the directives handed to them by you via your elected officials should be denigrated and forgotten.

Oh, and welcome to du...for now..

6. What is funny is someone

reading the post you are responding to and thinking it says anything about control over anyone. No, you (collectively) who live in your district are responsible for ceding your choice to the wrong person..you do realize that by voting for a person you are saying, 'I trust this person to act on my behalf', no?

9. So what's the plan if it doesn't come true?

I'd wager that Kyle is not going to be mentioned.

12. No. I won't kick this thread if your prediction comes true.

Frankly, I don't give a damn.

14. Yah, not a problem.

If you're still around tomorrow, we'll see what you write then. I can't say that you're off to much of a good start so far, though.

Incidentally, I just spent a week visiting my father, who is recovering from very serious surgery. He was a B-17 pilot during WWII. I also served in the USAF, during the Vietnam war era. You'll find a lot of military veterans on this site. We're not really patient with those who denigrate veterans just for being veterans. You'll soon discover that.

8. We don't know all the circumstances, but it appears PTSD might have been a key factor

Back to the OP, if they do have a moment of respect for the Kyle fellow, I predict it will be the usual hyper-nationalistic, jingoistic bullshit we always get from the media -- especially when pandering to the Joe Sixpack football crowd. And there will not be a single word of concern about our returning soldiers who suffer from many traumatic problems including PTSD, homelessness, broken families, ripoffs by mortgage holders, and so on.

11. "An outing to deal with PTSD"

From http://www.punditpress.com/2013/02/eddie-ray-routh-information.html

The motive of the shooting remained unclear, Bryant said. "Not a clue; absolutely no idea."

WFAA/Channel 8 quoted unnamed sources as saying that Kyle of Midlothian and a neighbor had taken Routh on an outing to help him deal with post-traumatic stress disorder. Routh turned on the men and shot them in the back, the report added.

Take a guy suffering from PTSD on a leisurely outing to a freaking shooting range? WTF? Is there a single gun person in the whole damn country that has a lick of sense? I am starting to doubt that.

10. Yes, and so?

Where's the harm?

I suggest you skip watching the Super Bowl, then.
