I can't let it pass without saying a false analogy has been applied re news item yesterday...

saying President Obama offered the SOS to the person who got it one week before Susan Rice was sold down the river

DOES NOT MEAN
that that offer meant that the current SOS was a first choice

NOT according to any article I have read.

A week before Susan Rice was forced to say she didn't want it, it was known all over, (thanks to the BFF John MCCAin) that Susan Rice was not going to get it

Therefore a good President has a ready backup and doesn't waste more time on it

So false analogy is saying that (and what utter nerve for him to speak public and brag anyhow, how crass) IMHO
Rice was or was not a first choice.

because there is NO proof whatsoever either way based on the statement said.

IMHO
feel free to disagree or agree
I know about 60 people who will rightaway disagree

but logic states that a false analogy is still a false analogy

and at least in Senator Cowan, we have someone who is happy to be in the Senate from now til June.
I welcome Senator Cowan.

again IMHO

(note-this is an opinion, mine).

1. Correct: it doesn't mean that it does mean that & it also doesn't mean that it doesn't mean that.
