1. The graphic is flawed and the comparison questionable

Zimmerman is out on bail not probation. It is not a trivial distinction.

The other case was indeed troubling. A judge (not jury) denied SYG protection and a jury did not accept self defense. That said, from what is in the media, the conviction does not make sense. I have to wonder what other facts there were that justified the conviction in their minds and what was the racial makeup of the jury

2. That's not a reason to abolish SYG but a reason to apply its protections equally

And no, I'm not commenting on Zimmerman, only the lady on the right side of the graphic.

3. Marissa Alexander left the house, got her gun, and went back inside

that is why it was not SYG.

Once she was outside she was not in danger. She choose to go back with a weapon.

She was offered a plea bargain for 3 years but choose a jury.
