1. Is It Still Pretty Standard in the US for Women to Only get 6 Weeks in the cases...

where employers do provide maternity leave? I've heard of some of the more progressive companies providing fathers with paid time off as well as mothers. I think that's a great thing.

2. I work at a Catholic Hospital

and most take 6 week maternity leave. It is not a paid leave as such, they collect short term disability which is not as much as their base pay.
