Did anyone else miss this? GOP really quiet about RAISING Debt Ceiling, Part II

Perhaps there was a very good lesson learned during dicussion that finally led to RAISING Debt Ceiling, Part 1?

http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2012/01/Thank-God-Another-Debt-Ceiling-Fight-Avoided

If you happen to see a senator on your way home from work today, do remember to give them a hug, or, if they’d for some reason prefer it, a handshake. “After just over two hours of debate, the Senate voted 44-52 to block a motion to disapprove the debt-limit increase, which the House passed overwhelmingly last week. Four Senate Republicans missed the vote,” The Hill reports.

The debt-ceiling debate, you’ll recall, was the single most monotonous and frustrating news story of 2011. It was a news story that gave America such timeless headlines as, “Breaking: Compromise Eludes Congress,” “Compromise Not Reached,” “Congress Struggles to Reach Compromise,” “Compromise: Yes or No?,” “Compromise: No or Yes,” and “No Progress on Debt-Ceiling Bill”—and that last one was probably pared down to something less bombastic.

The debt-ceiling will likely rise, as planned, on January 18. And as it should be, no one will notice.
