1. Now you know why I think apologies are stupid and worthless

Apologies are for children who spill grape juice on the carpet.

Not for adults and serious matters.

3. I couldn't disagree more

Apology can cleanse the soul ...

I find I often disagree with you ... no apology necessary ...

13. The team might be from San Francisco

but the players aren't necessarily from places or socioeconomic backgrounds open to non-heterosexual orientations. Granted it's not an excuse to be stupid, but it is an explanation of why they might be this way.

9. You are correct...until it becomes a social standard for all of us to greet...

each other with,"Hello, What kind of sex did you have last night?" IT IS NO ONE'S BUSINESS.

12. Good. I'm going to a SuperBowl party and didn't know which team to root for.

Suddenly I'm a Ravens fan!

14. (Ravens) Would Welcome A Gay Player

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/01/terrell-suggs-baltimore-ravens-gay-teammate_n_2598670.html

Suggs then added, "On this team, with so many different personalities, we just accept people for who they are and we don’t really care too much about a player’s sexuality ... You know who you are, and we accept you for it.”

Of course, Suggs' teammate is Brendon Ayanbadejo, who has not only been an outspoken advocate for same-sex marriage, but has also vowed to use the Super Bowl XLVII as a platform to promote lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights.

17. I'm not a big Ravens fan at all....

....because as far as I'm concerned ray Lewis either committed or was an accomplice to a murder...so I have had a "private boycott" on them
For years....I'm not shy about telling people that either....but if worse comes to worse.....nah....screw 'em both....I have to work anyhow....

20. Ray Lewis is a good person IMO

Sometimes you can't control the actions of people you're with. The best thing you can do is severe ties and he's done that. He comes across as a very sincere and good person to me.

21. I'll give him this...

He has managed to clean up his image since it happened. I'm aware he had to make a pretty healthy settlement with the widow/child. I've heard he still goes beyond what he was required to do....that along with the ray caruthers incident drove me away from the nfl for a few years....he's managed to keep the incident low key...that hasn't hurt him either.

18. I agree Culliver's comments were atrocious

I support gay rights, but this looks to me like a smear job

But the New Civil Rights Movement seems to be putting words into their mouth that they didn't say.

It seems like after the Culliver incident people are just looking to get other team members to make comments they can twist.

The video was made during training camp and they said they couldn't remember nor was he told specifically what the video was and handed a script. He clearly stated that he couldn't remember, yet the reporter (whomever it was) seemed to have an agenda and kept pushing. When shown the video he indicated that yes he did make it but was not aware that what is what it was about.

In the article it appears all of the quotes are from Brooks, not Sopoaga so I have no idea why they are going after him at all.

The fact is the people that believe this simply aren't looking at the logic.
