so he can't do a hell of a lot of damage there. Women have been cleared for combat theater jobs they qualify for, so he can't do much damage there, either.

What he can do is take on that cadre of war crazed neocons over at the Pentagon and I think he will do a decent job of it. He is opposed to any intervention in Iran, for instance, and we need that desperately right now. He's a tough old bastard with direct experience of what war really means, unlike the bloodless idiots who want to declare war on Iran just because.

I can think of a few people who I'd like better. However, he's the choice and he's got a few good points in his favor, unlike anyone the Republicans would approve of.
