it was powerful, emotive and real. The speech was without paranoia, fear rhetoric or threats. Something I strongly feel is missing from the NRA and their ilk.

... It seems like our society doesn't have any "priorities" anymore. Like the only priority is the bottom line. We must do whatever is necessary to reclaim our REAL priorities as a society. And the most basic one is that our children, our innocents of whatever age, have the right to live their lives without fear. That we can go to school/College, to the theater, to the Mall, to CHURCH!, to wherever without fear of being shot to death by some deranged person with a lethal weapon that should be found only on a fucking battlefield! This right of safety to live our lives is most definitely a higher priority than that of any person to own guns.

We need to be strong and do what needs to be done: amend the 2nd amendment, or abolish it.

That should be our highest priority at this moment.
