2. Well, if it's Reagan's childhood home ...

then anybody parking there will have to pay overly inflated rates.

Hmm ... where's the cry of "Chicago politics" when it comes to St. Ronnie of the Tax Cuts?

3. Gerald R. Ford Birthplace

It really seems like Chicago doesn't care for Ray Gun at all.

When I was in the parks dept, I used to do a few things at the Ford birth site from time to time.

4. Reagan grew up in Dixon...the whole town is like a shrine to the guy

That his dad once had them stay a few months in some hovel on the South Side doesn't make it his "childhood home." Didn't they only discover the place because the Dad got a drunken disorderly or something?

5. That's what I was thinking also....

I only referred to it as a "childhood" home because several news outlets have, but I didn't think he spent much time at all there.
