Poll: 67 percent of Texas Republicans want to impeach Obama
According to a new Public Policy Polling survey, 67 percent of Texas Republicans would like to see President Barack Obama impeached and removed from office.
The PPP numbers show the depth of political divisions in Texas: Overall, 47 percent of Texans approve of President Obama’s job performance, about 10 percentage points less than the rest of the nation. Public opinion is highly polarized along party lines: 95 percent of Democrats approve of the president’s work, compared to just 10 percent of Republicans. Independents — the only hope for Democrats seeking a Lone Star comeback in 2014 — give the president a 49 percent approval mark. Two out of three Republicans want Obama impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate for high crimes and misdemeanors. Just one in three independents (32 percent) shares that view. And, oddly enough, one in eight Texas Democrats (12 percent) would go along with impeachment. The state remains very much racially polarized: Just 32 percent of non-Hispanic whites approve of Obama’s performance, compared to 70 percent of Latinos and 84 percent of African Americans. Whites, older Texans and men are the most likely to disapprove of Obama and to favor impeachment. http://blog.chron.com/txpotomac/2013/01/poll-67-percent-of-texas-republicans-want-to-impeach-obama/

Other people's opinions are grounds for expulsion from the country. We simply cannot tolerate ideas or trust in the better ideas to win out in a fair argument. Toleration of divergent idea are too threatening to permit.

23. Was minding my own business, when...
|
I was having a drink at the bar in an upscale restaurant here in Houston a several months ago and reading The God Delusion. The place was almost deserted except for me, the staff, and another patron sitting a few stools down the bar. He asked me what I was reading and so I proceeded to explain the author's arguments against the existence of God. My mistake was to say that I agreed with them. He took this as his opportunity to spread the good news of his savior, Jesus. I politely explained to him that I had been brought up in a Baptist home and was quite familiar with the Bible and the teachings of the Big JC, but that I remained unconvinced to say the least. He finally quieted down, but not for long. After a few minutes, he turned to me and asked about the upcoming elections. Again, I politely explained that I would be again voting for President Obama and why. He said nothing. He got up off his stool, threw a twenty on the bar, called me a "heathen, nigger-loving commie" and walked out. The funny thing was that I wasn't shocked by his reaction. I have lived in Texas my entire life and have gotten used to this kind of thinking (or lack of it). Now that I think about about it, it's more sad than funny.
