I am listening to the preventing gun violence hearings on CSPAN and the rationale for

assault weapons and magazines by Lindsey Graham is some of the most insane junk I have ever heard. We are ruled by a bunch of escaped nutbags from the asylum. They are all over congress AND will probably block any kind of legislation for gun control. We better pray to whatever infinite being we choose for solace in our hours of fear. Just CRAAAZY!!!!!

4. A lot of their "subjects" are behind this. If people really wanted guns restricted, they'd be

restricted. But there are a bunch of NRA types -- whether members or free-riders -- calling/writing their reps whining about their life if they don't have access to more and more guns in more and more places.

I wish Congresspeople had the guts to tell them to grow up, and think more about society than their precious guns. But, many of the gun cultists are Tbaggers, afraid of the boogeyman.

It is crazy.

6. We wouldn't be having this debate if gun control advocates had the popular support

they think they do.

But you don't have the votes - plain and simple. Votes are all politicians care about - instead of railing against that mean old NRA why don't you simply do the hard work and organizing to sway public opinion to your side? Get the votes you need.

don't you? I don't care what a segment of America thinks about my guns - I can ignore them easily. What good does it do if we are scorned but still armed?

who have already come out against an AWB, and don't forget that Dianne Feinstein, D-CA, opposed the talking filibuster, thereby pretty much guaranteeing the defeat of her AWB.
