Another sign that Hillary is running.James Carville not renewing contract with CNN.

IMHO this means Hillary is running.
And good riddance to the airwaves to Mary Matalin.
Although, IMHO this also solidly means Jeb is running.

from Taegan Goodard's political wire site-
http://politicalwire.com/archives/2013/01/29/cnn_parts_way_with_carville_and_matalin.html#disqus_thread

the link mentioned at Taegan's site is-

CNN Parts Way with Carville and Matalin
James Carville and Mary Matalin will not be continuing their contracts with CNN, according to FishbowlDC.

Pundit power couple James Carville and Mary Matalin will not be continuing their contracts with CNN, according to FishbowlDC sources. In addition, Bill Bennett and Maria Cardona are also parting ways with the network, although CNN Espanol will keep Cardona on board.

In other news, RedState‘s Erick Erickson will be foregoing his CNN contract and sources say he will be heading to Fox News.

As reported by TVNewser, CNN Executive VP and Managing Editor Mark Whitaker has resigned. Read all about it here.

1. Uh, they also fired Eric Erickson

CNN wanting to 'change direction' isn't an implausible reason to dump them - they did a lousy job as pundits.

3. I don't know him. I don't watch CNN. I only watch Al Sharpton on MSNBC. no one else.

James and Mary I know from past campaigns, but I have no idea who else is on CNN as I don't watch them anymore.

Last time I watched CNN was during Katrina and the one day the news was unfiltered was when Anderson Cooper was on, and gave an unfiltered real time look at the horror that was being done to blacks in New Orleans.
For 20 hours, real news came through that day.

As for CNN, as said, don't watch them at all now.

and I remember how Bernie Shaw sabatoged Mike Dukakis and helped cause him to lose the election in 1988 with his pitiful gotcha question.

And I only watch Al Sharpton ever since the first debate.
Rachel and Ed lost me forever after the first debate.

7. James Carville supported Hillary in 08.

I'm not sure how this means anything.

He is funny to watch, however. I wonder where he will land.

8. As part of the Clinton team needed to defeat Jeb Bush in 2016.

everything Jeb can do, Hillary can do better.

It takes a village of Clinton's to defeat the village of Bush.

Maybe Jeb Bush will sign Lee Atwater to be his campaign manager.

I look forward to Walter Cronkite's commentaries throughout this campaign.

18. immaterial. (long post below)

behind the scenes Bill will use any info he digs up (in a positive way of course).

Same as Rove is working for the Bush family and always will.
(and I said this constantly through the election of 2012. Last thing Rove wanted was for Mitt to win. His act was pretty good though.)He wanted a major party division, so that Jeb can waltz in as a sane one.
After all Rove was part of the made up defnition of W. (kind, compasionate conservative, not too bright, honorable, man of integrity, but because he is not too bright, he wouldn't know how to lie while looking you in the eye (see the book by Paul Waldman-FRAUD for the step by step and how accurate it turned out to be).

All thepeople working for people got in position
(which is why so much of the media in 2008 was for Hillary til President Obama clinched it officially).

I have no hard feelings on them.
And hope they all do all that is needed to help a landslide Hillary45 victory in 2016.

because winners do what losers won't, and that is get seated.
Nice guys do indeed finish last.(so do aholes) but nice and nasty are irrelevant in the political game.(and naive).

It is no longer(and never was anyhow) a gentleman's game. No way, no how.

(BTW, Hillary did not lose in 2008. Barack Obama won. and only one person can win each time.
Hillary would have creamed McCain in the general perhaps less electoral votes, perhaps different ones. But she would have won.

The misperception that she lost is like saying Mitt could have won this year.
No, Barack Obama won because he is Team Barack Obama.
He is the best at the game of politics ever. Listening and learning from prior races.
And doing what was needed to secure victory from the people.
(which is why saying mitt could have won the electoral vote in 2012 had there been different changes is wrong, because Team Obama would have won the same score, using different methods under a different system. Because they were that good, and he is that good.)

President Obama would obviously want his agenda continued. And does NOT want to be lame duck in the last two years, it is obvious. Therefore, it is in his best interest to have a continuation, and not a change from that the next 8 years.
In doing so, it makes him stronger, and helps Hillary. We are looking at a romp in 2016 by the democratic party, and it will be also be in the Senate and House.

If only President Bill Clinton had as good a game and been wanted, and not shunned, he could have offset the Nader lies, and brought in five other states for the continuation of his two terms. But the ego back then didn't allow it on either side, and this is part of the live and learn
and the 10 steps ahead.
And why it is Team Obama, not singular person Obama.
Bill grew up and learned it. You don't think he helped and did what he did for nothing, do you?

it is like saying in baseball, two teams with a .650 w/l record fighting it out
when a different division has two .510 teams fighting it out.
The one division has the two better teams. Due to the way things are done, though,
only one champ in each.

James Carvelle might be indeed a vicious bulldog. However, the opposition on the right has plenty of them, and a winner needs that in the game of politics.
And all of Hillary's dirt is laid out there and has been.
And there is indeed a brutal rightwing conspiracy. It was NO theory when Hillary said it, but many people back then did not believe it was so vile and bad.
Therefore I welcome James, and yes, would rather he do it covertly if covertly is needed.
Anything to be seated.
Because to win, one must be seated. You cannot sit on the sidelines and advance forward at all.

imho feel free to disagree.

connection would be a no-starter for her. She'd most likely want those she knows from Obama's election team.

that is why if Biden is on ticket, the entire Obama team from Chicago will be motivated to stay another round

imho

I am sure Plouffe and Axelrod will at anyrate, either way
