Quote of the day

Well, my day, anyway. My copy of The Progressive arrived this morning, and, as is my habit, I flipped to the back page to read what Jim Hightower had to say. The gist of the piece is that, since Gingrich objects to being called a lobbyist, Hightower makes the case that the Newt's activities for the past few years should result in his being labeled an 'influence peddler'.

But I digress. The sentence that tickled me was this: "From Washington to Wall Street, we now have too many 5-watt bulbs sitting in 100-watt sockets."

He goes on, as only Hightower can.
