The US Taxes work not Wealth

Nice take on taxes...

The Mitt-Lefty paradox has a simple explanation: In America, we tax work. And highly. We do not tax capital or wealth much at all. Indeed, if you have wealth already, taxes are essentially optional under what I call tax Planning 101, the simple advice to buy/borrow/die.

1. People born wealthy do not pay near as much on their income as a working stiff.

Too disgusted to say anything else...

2. Taxes

I don't agree with being required to pay anyone to work for a wage.

Taxing income from work is paying for a right to work.

Paying union dues in a closed shop is the same.

My belief is they should tax purchases or use, not work. Work is good, certain purchases are bad. Tax bad or luxury more, (tobacco, sports cars) and leave work and wages alone.

My thoughts. Let the flames begin....
