1. as a New Mexican... just my view

Bill Richardson got compromised by money, when his second term expired , the democratic candidate (Lt Governor) was covered with stinck... that was 10, a red year...

keep in mind it has not been that long that we have been blue...

5. Perhaps I misunderstand.

Did you say 10 was a blue year?

2. Because the Dems ran a shitty candidate

Lt Gov Denish was associated with Richardson's administration

They should have found a fresh face

3. A Crappy Democrat Is 10 Times Better Than Even the Best Republican.

4. Here's a lesson for some of the Party Officials

Start running good candidates. Not any random person who wants to put a "D" behind his or her name.

An example can be when Illinois--a perennial blue state--elected moderate Republican George Ryan because Poshard, despite being a "Democrat" was, frankly, awful at being a human being, much less at being a Democrat.

10. Ryan has been the only Republican I have voted for

since 1964. I couldn't stand Poshard and thought he was a crook so I voted for the guy now in jail.

6. Lousy midterm turnout?

That's what killed us in much bluer states like WI, MI, OH and PA. 2010 was hardly a "blue year".

Plus, "Tejana Susana" is Latina, which might have helped.

8. Even MA does it from time to time

No party wins 100% of the elections in a state.

11. NM is hardly the bluest of states.

Let's see: MA has elected a repub governor in the recent past and so has Vermont. Perhaps your understanding of politics is lacking.

12. Probably True Because There Is No Logic As To Why People Vote The Way They Do

I swear people are just throwing darts blindfolded. So many voters just seem demented to me.
