Cutting "taxes" "spending" and "welfare"=coded euphemisms for...
..."People or groups of people that I don't like don't deserve any help from the government."
The Tea Party movement is predicated on the illusion that those people didn't "deserve" social benefits and are "lazy", but that good, honest, patriotic, hard-working, conservative American folk earned everything they got, with no help from anybody else ("We built that!").
Fortunately, it seems that the Right's best days are behind them, if public opinion is anything. That doesn't mean they aren't still dangerous, however; look at the House of Representatives, or the state legislatures. But I think it's fair to say that the writing is on the wall for the rabid Right.
