That's about-to-be-former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton up there, wondering what kind of bananas shit Sen. Rand Paul is crapping out of his mouth. "Really? Do you know what the fuck you're talking about?" is what that face says, and, indeed, as befits a man who looks like he jacks off while listening to cassette audiobooks of Carlos Castaneda and watching donkey porn, Paul was talking about one of the many right-wing nutzoid conspiracy theories about the "truth" about the murder of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya.
Paul asked, "Is the U.S. involved with any procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya?" You don't want to know what the fuck he was talking about - something, something, something, arms to Syria, ambassador killed over it - because it's utter bullshit.
Of course, rather than saying "What the fuck now?" Clinton smirked at the question and then looked at Paul as if he had been fondling himself during his questioning and while earlier bragging about how he would have fired Clinton if he had been president, which he won't be, ever in the history of forever. "Nobody's ever raised that with me," she said to the unsatisfied dink from Kentucky. When Paul pressed her, she just said, "I do not know. I don't have any information on that."
Yeah, it was actually a banner day for Clinton, taking on the bellicose preeners and poseurs of the GOP. She was so strong against an obdurate opposition that was determined to find something, anything, to justify their narrative that Benghazi was a scandal worth more than a thorough investigation and some readjustment of security, that it had to point to institutional incompetence, if not outright deception. It reeked of the stink of projection, of people who hadn't questioned much after 9/11 trying to compensate now.
So, apparently, to Republicans, what one says on a Sunday talk show is the same as testimony under oath. It's certainly the way they treated the things U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice said on the gabfest after the attack. And when Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin tried to get her to admit that the administration screwed up on getting the "facts" out about Benghazi, Clinton hit him so hard that he was practically out of breath after her answer.
Emotionally, the smackdown of Johnson was the highlight. But check out what she said to John McCain. The Senate's nastiest leprechaun was a-puffin' away on his tiny pipe as he accused Clinton and the administration of providing "false answers" and not providing enough security to the consulate. The short version of Clinton's answer was "Suck it, old man."
The longer answer: "I will also tell you that since March 2011, Congressional holds have been placed on programs for many months for aid to Libya. We've had frequent Congressional complaints. 'Why are we doing anything for Libya? It's a wealthy country. It has oil.' Disagreement from some sources that we should never have been part of any U.N. mission in Libya. Currently, the House has holds on bilateral security assistance, on other kinds of support for anti- terrorism assistance." Yeah, talk to your buddies in the House Majority, motherfucker.
Man, Clinton must have spent the rest of the afternoon wiping bits of ass off her shoes.

(57,936 posts)That is what I read in a Dayton newspaper. I would like to know why they met in Benghazi? Surely, the embassies are in Tripoli, the capital of Libya.
That is what Rand Paul was driving at. The story about arms to Turkey I have not heard.
AnneD
(15,774 posts)Libya is still in shambles, rebel mercenaries that were with Gaddafi have taken home their weapons and are active in Algeria now-again a government still in it's embryonic stages, and for all practical purposes Syria is in a civil war (the Syrian government shellings have landed in Turkey), a meeting with the Turkish ambassador is not surprising. Turkey has proven to be a good and valuable ally for the US, esp. in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their bases and airspace was used and are still being used. Turkey had a large Muslim population and maybe they don't want it public knowledge they are meeting with the US. After all, we have a bad reputation in that part of the world; we need to keep the few friends we have.
Turkey might be a conduit through which we funnel arms to those rebels fighting against Asad. Frankly any government that shells and kills 60,000 of their own citizens deserves to be overthrown, imho. But how do we know that the Turkish Ambassador was not asking for humanitarian aid to help with all the Syrian refugees streaming across their borders. Turkey has gotten very little aid to help them with that headache.
Benghazi is closer to Turkey, Tripoli closer to Algeria, up until the attack, I think Benghazi might have been considered safer (I would have to check up on that).
Edited to add. My point still stands. Since he would fire those under him that were incompetent, why is it that our military, under Rumsfeld, sent to the slaughter in Iraq without the tools to do the job. And why even Iraq in the first place. And I never bought the phufcacta argument of Sadam WMD. If Clinton did not read the memo (which just seems so out of character), this pales in comparison to GWB's failure to read the August memo (PDB) about a possible air strike in this country or his staff ignoring the outgoing CIA director's briefing. (George Stevens I think). The GOP need to acknowledge the fact that their last 2 terms in the White House was a major clusterfuck and their control of the house and senate has resulted in misappropriation of fund (cutting funds to the State Department earmarked for security)

(23,272 posts)and that's fine with me.
Obviously Paul believes its about transferring arms to Turkey (since Syria says we're not funneling arms to them *cough*). There was a HUGE CIA station there - some weird shit was going down for the US Ambassador to be there that day.
I think his roundabout point was to try to get her to fess up to whatever CIA shenanigans were happening. Clearly she wasn't going to be dragged into it.

(13,184 posts)"Is the U.S. involved with any procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya?"
It's not an off-the-wall question, despite the Rude Pundit. It refers to suspicions the US is supplying Syrian rebels with arms from Libya, which might explain why there was a large CIA station in Benghazi.
Clinton didn't answer it.
"Nobody's ever raised that with me," she said. When Paul pressed her, she just said, "I do not know. I don't have any information on that."
I have some questions about just what we were up to in Benghazi. Not the Republican questions, which are all about hammering the administration, but questions.
riderinthestorm
(23,272 posts)something weird was happening that day. I presume it really is about funneling arms to Syria - makes the most sense regardless of the Syrian rebels "complaints" that we're not doing enough.

(7,672 posts)It would be surprising if the CIA had her in the loop on anything going on anywhere.
She didn't say that there was nothing going on. I believe she gave her honest answer: I do not know.
Let's face it - the CIA has been murdering peasants, raping nuns and killing popular foreign politicians since their inception. And we'd be surprised that they were up to shit now? I wouldn't.
Harry Truman said it well:
For some time I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble and may have compounded our difficulties in several explosive areas.

(4,281 posts)We used to call it guts. It applied to everybody. Intestinal fortitude.
Hillary has always shown that she has titanium GUTS. When she drove all night as a young woman to get to Bill Clinton, in a small Arkansas town where she would have to start all over, just for love. When she spoke her mind and continued her own career as the governor's wife, back when almost nobody did that. When she traveled all over as First Lady, consulting many small groups of all different kinds of Americans before formulating that first effort at affordable health care for all. When she faced down the rightwing nutjobs in Congress who had blanketed the country with very effective propagaganda that she supposedly hadn't consulted anybody before writing it. When she received the information on national TV that suddenly convinced her that her husband actually HAD found a way to cheat on her in the Oval Office. I believe I actually saw that moment, in the middle of an interview, when the newswoman said something like, "Back behind the coat closet door," and you could see Hillary's eyes suddenly focus on a mental image and widen in shock, and then you saw her straighten her back, pull in her abdomen, and turn the subject back to the important issues of the day.
And now the other day, as she faced down several Republicon jackals, not long after she got out of the hospital where she had been taken with a life-threatening condition.
Hillary Rodham Clinton was, is, and always will be a class act. She is the epitome of GUTS.

I have no problem with a WTF expression or a post that illustrates Hillary's dismay at stupid questions or grandstanding.
Here is the problem I have: How do enough fans of profanity without purpose send a piece of journalistic trash like this to the front page with 142 recs.
From the blog post of the OP.
That's about-to-be-former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton up there, wondering what kind of bananas shit Sen. Rand Paul is crapping out of his mouth. "Really? Do you know what the fuck you're talking about?" is what that face says, and, indeed, as befits a man who looks like he jacks off while listening to cassette audiobooks of Carlos Castaneda and watching donkey porn, Paul was talking about one of the many right-wing nutzoid conspiracy theories about the "truth" about the murder of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya.
end
This blog poster can tell all that about the sexual habits of a person by their looks, and then transfers the fantasy through analyzing a facial expression into the mindset of Ms. Clinton? Never mind placing the banana shit crapping in the thought process of the Secretary.
~ Again later ~
Of course, rather than saying "What the fuck now?" Clinton smirked at the question and then looked at Paul as if he had been fondling himself during his questioning and while earlier bragging about how he would have fired Clinton if he had been president, which he won't be, ever in the history of forever.
end
Again the OP author ('author' used very loose), goes sexual, with public masturbation fantasies he not so deftly puts in the supposed mindset of Secretary Clinton. If any reader of this tripe needs more convincing of the OP sexual insecurity, he again tries to place in Secretary's thought process his metaphorical fantasy, as he paraphrases an answer by Clinton as, "Suck it, old man".

Humor and counter point, cynical and exaggeration, or well fitting profanity can all be used effectively in communication when running a connecting tangent to reality and truth. Senseless slur not connecting to reality, for me, falls short of entertainment or enlightenment.
At any rate, I am now aware of the Rude Pundit, and if all of the content is near this, well for me, life is to short for the sophomoric.
