ABC's Terry Moran goes after Rand Paul on Twitter: Wingnuts outraged.

"Curious: What is Rand Paul's foreign policy background? Did he serve in the military? Did he study, live, do business or charity overseas? "

And the wingnut responses:

Outraged stories from wingnut sites.

Nightline co-anchor Terry Moran lashed out at Rand Paul on Twitter, deriding the senator for daring to bluntly question Hillary Clinton over her role in the Benghazi scandal. Moran mocked, "Curious: What is Rand Paul's foreign policy background? Did he serve in the military? Did he study, live, do business or charity overseas?"

Of course, what qualifies Paul to question Clinton is that he's a United States senator and Moran isn't. Over the years, Moran, a journalist, has offered his liberal slant on numerous topics, including business and economics. In 2009, the reporter fawned over Michael Moore's left-wing film Capitalism: A Love Story, gushing, " an American populist in the grand tradition, a provocateur, a comic, a rhetorical bomb thrower." What qualifies Moran, who has never run a business, to seriously discuss a film about capitalism?

On Wednesday, Paul grilled Clinton about her role in responding to the terrorist attack in Libya: "Had I been President at the time and I found out you had not read the cables… I would have relieved you of your post."

Moran has a long history of fawning over liberals and attacking conservatives. On Tuesday, he hyped Barack Obama as the "president with a purpose" whose inaugural speech was a "history-making call to action

2. More Shoot The Messenger...

IMO Paulbot Jr.'s remarks will disqualify him from any serious consideration of higher office in the future as this video and his arrogance will follow him for years...especially when he pisses off someone who works in the corporate media. As the old saying goes, never screw with people who buy ink by the barrel. Sure...Paulbot Jr. is now the toast of the great unhinged and he's lining up for the 2016 clown car demolition derby.

3. I gotta agree with a key point made in the "newsbusters" piece.

"Of course, what qualifies Paul to question Clinton is that he's a United States senator ..."

This is correct. And I don't think anyone in a democracy would take issue with that, where civilian representatives have check and oversight powers over the government. What if Donald Rumsfeld (Navy Retired) said that no one who lacked military experience had a right to criticize or question his Iraq policies? I imagine we would disagree with that.

There's definitely legitimate criticism to be made toward Paul, but this ain't it.

7. to QUESTION Hillary, yes...... to show such utter disrespect is another story

Questioning and acting like an ass don't have to go together. Yes, as a Senator Rand Paul has the right to ask questions of members of the cabinet to find facts. But since when does that give him the right to be such a pompous ass? It's perfectly possible to gather information and still be civil. Aquabudha seems to have forgotten that fact.

14. Agreed. It could have been intelligent questions concerning the actual shortcomings leading up ...

... to the attack. But Paul saw it as an opportunity to either score political points against an ideological opponent (because Congress is apparently just a political sports arena lately), or explore some genuinely-held conspiracy theory bullshit about supposed lies told to the public. And because he's a "Paul," I'd suspect the latter.

4. It's hard to pin down

but there's something in Kim Jong Paul's voice inflections that indicate a mental disorder. Paul the lesser is only a United States Senator because he represents a slave state with substandard education. A convicted child molester could win there as long as there's an R following his/her name.
Kentucky does offer some fine bourbon and race horses, but looking at their United States Senators tells us there's a gene pool looking for a lifeguard.

8. Paul could not get elected dog catcher outside his wee nutter fifedom

The people of his State see him as a Senator, those in other States see them as derelict in their judgement.

9. Rand Paul started his 2016 presidential campaign

With his questioning of Secretary Clinton. Seems to me he only made himself look totally unqualified to be dogcatcher, let alone the POTUS.

11. He started on Jan 21st. During Inauguration Day, he was in SC shoring up primary

support for 2016.

The little pissant thinks he can be president, with his twitchy paranoid style, a weasel-like toupee, and his Dad's email list.

Grifters gotta grift.

12. You're exactly right

He's a legend in his own mind and has fantasies of being president. Pretending to fire Hillary is a symptom of those delusions.

in 2016. If he is still around, she will be his boss.
