Listening to Matthews blather about Hillary Clinton . . . . he is SUCH a fucking ass

In trying to praise her he sounds the very same as he did when she put him down.

Chris, my boy, YOU are out of touch, over the hill, and very 20th Century. Maybe its time to hang up the spurs there, Hoss.

7. exactly

heaven forbid Matthews act like the old dude he is. He's old school, but he's also pretty darn progressive. Does he retain some of the old school sensibilities about women and race and whatnot, sure. Is that a positive, no. Does he get it right most of the time? Yes.

We love him one moment then he says something someone doesn't like and he's an a$$ again.

The only truly fair critique of him IMO is that he is a fairly bad interviewer who interrupts his guests amazingly way way too much.

34. "Us"? Not all of us allowed Tweety to stampede us into believing the President....

....lost the first debate. Quite a few of us had a very difficult time giving a win win to an individual who lied every time he opened his mouth. If you think that's okay, fine, you're welcome to your opinion but don't expect everyone to agree with it.

Tweety did nothing but throw a tantrum. It was embarrassing, to say the least.

By the way, I'm almost as old as he is.

about impressions.

Notice how Obama changed for the next two? Why, if the first one was so good??

41. Yes, polls were so accurate during this past election cycle (add MAJOR sarcasm)....

....additionally, believing "perceptions" are more important than truth is a major reason why we're in this mess. You like lies? You're welcome to them.

I also noticed how Mitt hung himself during the first debate. Virtually all of his lies came back to haunt him.

51. All you had to do was read 538 or Princeton Election Consortium

The polls told Nate Silver, as well as Dr Wang, that Obama was going to win, down to the last Electoral Vote.

That was the material they used....how did they draw that conclusion if the polls didn't show the President winning?

53. I seem to recall that they dropped a number of the polling groups along the way, but....

....not before those so-called "polls" declared Romney the "winner" after the first debate despite lying his ass off.

Again, if you believe lies are more important than truth, Romney won.

Argue among yourselves...I'm done with this thread.

55. I don't think Romney won the first debate, why are you implying I did?

The President did not do enough to defend himself and win decisively, however. I don't blame Chris Matthews for being angry after that first debate, it was like they didn't expect Rmoney to lie or even show up for the damn thing. Thankfully Obama and his team woke up for the second debate.

But I'm talking about the polls regarding who people were voting for, which is what you seemed to start out talking about, but keep hopping around between that and the polls about the debate.

Anyhow, have a nice evening.

32. Matthews fawning over Sec. Clinton is a simple ~ rinse, ~ wash, ~ repeat of the Dubya years.

The story remains the same, only the players have changed. Matthews is a political sycophant and opportunist. From the way back machine at Think Progress

In A Three Minute Monologue, Matthews Gushes Over Bush’s ‘Great Neo-Conservative Mind’

– “We’re proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who’s physical.”

– “Sometimes it glimmers with this man, our president, that kind of sunny nobility.”

– “I like him. Everybody sort of likes the president, except for the real whack-jobs, maybe on the left.”

– “A little bit of Lincoln there, I think,” referring to Bush finally admitting that telling Iraqi insurgents to “bring it on” in 2003 “sent the wrong signal to people.”

Short article is worth the read. Seriously - this guy enjoys kissing political ass. Matthews can be very entertaining and he does know politics, but he often comes across as a fool. A Jester who kisses the most expediant ass. It sells tickets.

My 2cents.

But I will never forget how he absolutely gushed over Dubya's now infamous aircraft landing stunt. He called Bush a hero and all kinds of other crap. That tells me all I need to know about Tweets. He may have some good moments, but he's a whore just like the rest of them. Never forget that.

They love whoever is in power or whoever/whatever is popular.

His relationship to/with the Clintons is almost pathological. He wants so bad to be in their inner circle and they deal with him like a horsefly on a horse's ass.

puke fest! I like to post this link every once in awhile. It also includes someone from FOX "News" I think, trying to dupe viewers into believing Bush actually landed the plane. They are careful to not actually make that claim, but someone dumb enough may have gotten that idea.
