1. It was yesterday, and you left out Senaca Falls :)

-snip-

We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths that all of us are created equal is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall; just as it guided all those men and women, sung and unsung, who left footprints along this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on Earth.

-snip-

3. I am very proud

Of my President. In many ways but this is just reason why....
The President strongly believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms

6. Obama believes in the right of folks to have guns for hunting and protection, BUT ...

he also believes that NOT all weapons/guns, ammo magazines/drums should be legal - that they should be regulated.

I think you've missed some of what President Obama has said regarding this issue

12. that's what the Constitution says

I find it shocking that your reaction to that speech is to think about guns. You don't mention that you're proud of a commitment to equal rights but rather to machines that kill.

You find it shocking. I stated what MY President said in a speech recently deal with it and try not to be shocked. Nice bullshit attack.

14. I hoped for more

I hoped Americans would celebrate the commitment to human rights, but some are more committed to the machinery of death. Thankfully, the President's proposals do something to limit gun terror in this nation.
