Vermont has the highest rate of high school graduation.



MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) The U.S. Department of Education says Vermont has the highest high school graduation rate in the country.

In a study released Tuesday, the department found that 91.4 percent of Vermont high school freshmen go on to graduate on time.

Wisconsin had the second highest rate at 91.1 percent while Nevada had the lowest rate at 57.8 percent with the District of Columbia next at 59.9 percent.

3. Yes. The standing joke is that

VT has one of most educated populations in the country and the lowest gun homicide rates in the country.

I do not have any evidence of a causal relationship, though there appear to be numerous such studies.

4. we also have a tiny population and no cities

unless you want to count Burlington which has a population of about 40,000.
