5. -15 F here in Southern Minnesota...

...and a beautifully clear night. Think I'll take a walk and enjoy a little stargazing, once it cools off a bit.

7. Very cool, thanks for the reminder!

(It also reminded me that I need to schedule an eye exam, unless the moon has gotten a lot blurrier in the last few years... )

11. It is amazing

I'm so accustomed to not being able to see astronomical phenomena that this took me completely by surprise. I looked up and there it was.

Hopefully someone will post a photo soon.

16. Moon conjunct Jupiter

in Taurus. Adebaran (the Bull's Eye) is just to the lower left with Orion and Sirius further to the lower left cheering Jupiter's expansion of the waxing Moon goddess's influence. -3 degrees F with mild winds where I am, the Universe won't limit her beauty for a few degrees Fahrenheit. If it's dark enough the Pleides lurk nearby, jealous to be shown up by a mere solar system dance.

Moon conjunct Jupiter
Elevated moods.
This is a lucky, expansive, happy, and prosperous period. Some sort of emotional relief is likely, particularly with regards to your personal life. Domestic changes and legal affairs are favored, particularly dealings with property and renovations. It's a good time to write, teach, learn, publish, promote, and take tests. You may enjoy opportunities to do any of these things now. Your personal popularity increases, in direct proportion to your own elevated, positive mood, and some kind of recognition or honor may come your way. It's a better time of the month to buy a lottery ticket. Your desire for pleasure is strong. Occasionally, losses are required in order to see gains. Disagreements with others are rare during this period, generally because you are more likely to take the high road than to resort to pettiness.
