The Freepers are in full meltdown mode...

Was just over there, I found one thread just for the inaguration.
One Freeper posted a "picture of Obama supporters." Muslims at prayer.

Other threads have to do with Algeria and Benghazi, and the Freepers of course blame Obama for both.

Why do they blame Obama for the Algerian mess? Because the terrorists came through Libya.
(You figure it out, I can't.)

28. ...

That was a good one. I'm dyslexic so I get that a lot, looking twice can often remedy the problem. That Algeria issue has been hell on my eyes! I keep seeing headlines about it and thinking at first, what's their problem with algebra?

36. I am wondering if I am dyslexic

that happens to me a lot of times when I read something! I thought maybe my brain or eyes were lazy and just not reading the whole word, but in seriousness it happens to me frequently and I never gave it much thought.

37. You know...

I didn't realize that I was until I was in my 30s and was in college... late bloomer. I was always chastised for being a slow reader, it wasn't the comprehension part, it was that I had to re-read everything several times to make sure I got all the words right. And sometimes I read a sentence from the middle out. Dyslexia seems to have many forms and affects everyone differently. Not sure what the cause is, never really looked into it. I know I have it, I've adapted pretty well, don't know anything different and it doesn't really bother me much, just once in a while and those incidences are usually rather comical. I can read music just fine and was seriously involved in classical vocal performance in college so, I think in mild cases, it's a matter of adapting and knowing that's all it is.

40. I agree

I am left-handed and always had problems with writing and was also accused of being a slow reader. I think I do have a mild form of dyslexia. My mother has it, I wonder if it is hereditary? That is awesome about college - I went back in my early 30s to get my degree (had the GI bill to help pay for it) so I can identify with you!

What did you sing in college? That is awesome, I wish I could sing.

41. It seemed like everything

which isn't possible but I enjoyed having an incredible director and performed mostly in the choral ensembles because I didn't major in music, but I had 23 cr and all A grades in every course, many of which carried only one credit each. It was my treat and my disciplinary enforcer to make sure I went to my classes. We weren't allowed to miss rehearsals or performances so that was a four day a week commitment right there. I have been singing all my life.

42. Thats is awesome! I love singing

but only do so with the songs in the car or at home (by myself) to videos on youtube! I believe I had about 171 hours total (took all kinds of stuff that did not relate to my degree, just wanted to take the courses) when all was said and done!

44. Ha!

I did that too. Didn't declare a major until somewhere in my junior year, when someone actually cornered me and me decide! I was enjoying just soaking up everything, there was so much that interested me. I felt like a dried up sponge dropped into a bucket of warm water. And by the time I was done with the Bachelor's, I realized I'd needed a Master's so I got that too only that was seriously focused... but I still got to stay in the choir until I wasn't a student anymore. On top of that, I had a job where I was able to basically audit probably enough credits for another degree or two, most of those subjects were outside my degree programs, only a couple were boring, I even took some f the exams when they had them. College was a great place but when it was done, I was done with it. Never thought I'd get that far but I made it with a decent GPA too. That's one thing nobody can take from me.

And I found an interesting quote allegedly from Albert Einstein the other day...

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything they learned in school."

9. I read the same things on Twitter.

This is why I have given up hope in this country, because half of it is stupid and/or evil. I can't decide which.

Obama may think he can work with Republicans, and 30 years ago he probably could have. But now, the Republican party is a cess-pool that is best avoided altogether I think. Conservative right-wingers are the worst people I have ever met. I cannot be in their presence at all. I loathe them with ever fiber of my being. I want them gone; no, I want them to suffer. It's often the only way they come around to the truth: that we are a community and we need to care for those unable to do so.

But the vileness of the right-wing cannot be understated.

20. I had been thinking that way until I saw Lincoln

He faced the same name-calling and crap from the opposition party then as President Obama does today.

History will show President Obama to be as great as Lincoln.

24. Time covers up a lot of failures

How many people remember that FDR didn't include blacks in Social Security because it wouldn't have passed without southern support which required excluding blacks. Or how we didn't expend war resources to disrupt the concentration camps even once it was known the extent of the atrocities. How many people remember that Lincoln at first was willing to not free the slaves if it would save the union and suspended habeas corpus.

I don't think Obama will be as highly thought of as Lincoln, but I do think he will be viewed highly favorably by history. Presidents make all sorts of choices that are remarkably difficult, many of which cause the death of others. Any use or disuse of military force can result in the death of innocent people. Drones are just another type of military power.

17. Each time a FReeper's head explodes,

another angel gets their wings. That is how you know things are going well; the FReepers aren't happy. If they were happy, we KNOW how bad things would have to be. FReepers are never happy unless there is hellfire and brimstone and torture and slaughter and the misery of millions for their own evil sense of amusement.
