Why bother with waiting for the few car crash deaths that occur at the usual Nascar event, when you can increase your own chances of injury for half the cost at a neighborhood Gun Show? Don't miss this easy chance to get your adrenaline flowing during these cold winter weekends.
This Saturday turned out differently for several attendees as "good guys with guns" showed off just how well they work.
As soon as the NRA lets the FBI and the CDC start collecting some real statistics I think Americans will be amazed at the number of really stupid things people are doing with guns out there.
Ohio and Virginia today, so far.

(8,976 posts)so I googled a bit and can find 27 deaths in the last 40 seasons of Nascar racing spread over 5 different racing series. Oh, total spectator deaths for that period was (arguably) one-who was killed when struck by lightning while in the parking lot after a race was ended early because of rain in the summer of 2012. Since we're arguing stereotypes I'm bettin' more have been killed at elitist East Coast wine and cheese parties in the same period when drunken liberal professors slip on a bit of dropped Brie on the parquet floor while tasting their 15th "nice" cabernet and striking their skull on an arts and craft revival coffee table. How's them cultural assumptions, Butch?

(4,820 posts)But thanks for the stats on the Nascar racing. I won't spend so much time watching with the hope of seeing a crash now that I know I'll probably never see it except on a rerun.
But you gotta admit, its the adrenaline rush we all are looking for, isn't it?

(8,976 posts)The difference seems to be that your adrenalin is fired by seeing people bleed. Mine is more about a sporting event that can be physically dangerous rather than a mortal danger disguised as a "sport".
