If guns don't kill people, people kill people....

Why do we give people guns when we send them to war?
Why not just send the people?

1. Why don't we just send the guns, if they're what kills people?

Because the argument remains stupid: a gun and a person are required to kill someone.

7. On the other hand, we have the peopleless drones.

Very, very effective.

3. That was how they did it before guns, and the people killed each other with sticks

Weapons only get more powerful, men still use them no matter what their degree of sophistication.

4. back before guns, they did just send people.

Then they discovered the use of tools makes the PERSON a more effective killer.

5. The whole argument is ridiculous. People with guns kill people more efficiently. Coldly.

6. Obfuscating Argument - Guns Are The Method - Question Is - What "Acceptable Losses" Will You Tolerate

With guns in society.

Let's stop beating about the bush with obfuscating arguments.

Will you tolerate:

1 gun death death per 1000 citizens,
10 gun deaths per 1000 citizens,
100 gun deaths per 1000 citizens?

What will be the tolerance level that society will accept?

Once that question is answered all else falls into place with either gun laws, gun restrictions or an outright ban on gun ownership.

8. From a logic stand point...

People without guns can kill.
Guns without people are rather inert.

9. Guns don't kill people, gun owners do.

Someone came up with that in another thread.
