Are We Past Lance Armstrong... Can We Get Back......... To the business of talking about people who are having their homes unfairly foreclosed on. Can we get about talking about those who are unemployed and need work. Can we get back to finding solutions leveling the foreign trade field How about the discussion about closing loophole that corporations use to add to their bottom line and the executives wages. How about how ineffective our elected leaders are. I am sick of the 2 week Lance confession orgy, but hell, the news anchors got another break from doing their job as journalist. Hope tomorrow the media has moved on.

4. I agree.
|
I really could care less about Lance Armstrong.
It's over. Now get on to what *IS* important, like the House GOP stupidity on just about everything, and the GSA (formerly the NRA) finally having jumped the shark. |

Jobs bill still not passed? So what. Income inequality still running rampant? Yawn. Banks robbing and pillaging with no end in sight? Whatever dude. Every company in the nation dropping hours to avoid paying health costs? Crickets.
Occupy issues are so 2011 man. |

There are a ton of things happening but you would never know it here. I used to get most of my news from this board.

he's not a nobody.
Frankly, his fall is Shakespearean in magnitude. |

9. I want to know- did Lance get his cancer from steroids? And how many kids will die from steroids?
|
Lance Armstrong belongs in jail for fraud.
Kids emmulating him will take the same drugs that have the #1 side effect being cancer. He was like a terrorist, using women and kids and his charity to shield his shenanigans like a crime syndicate. Why do people want to cover this up? BTW, if not for Ralph Nader and his lies keeping people home because, why bother, both parties are one and the same, 9-11 wouldn't have happened, the bankrupting of America wouldn't have happened and the US Supreme Court never would have had Sam Alito and John Roberts. Thanks Ralph Nader for the havoc you brought to America. |

10. Even if Lance Armstrong had not used
|
illegal drugs to help him win he would have been stripped of his Tour de France victories because they searched him and found several items banned in France: toothpaste, soap, and deodorant.

17. "Ignorance"?
|
It was a JOKE. it was a joke based on longtime stereotypes of France. I am quite sure that toothpaste, soap, and deodorant are all legal items in France. How widespread their distribution is, well, that's another story ; )

Kind of disappointed.
I'm sure that there are at least a few people here who can handle more than one topic at a time. |

14. I think that he is a pertinent person to discuss
|
because of his duplicity and its effect on Livestrong and PED use in general. The media goes overboard on a lot of topics so this is nothing new. I also want to know if his use of PEDs caused his cancer.
I also believe it's possible to discuss more than one subject in more than one area. |

Last edited Fri Jan 18, 2013, 06:15 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Not sure why the anger about people wanting to discuss it. You should hang out with my brother who rides 60 miles a day as an obsessive cyclist. He would talk about how much he hates doping all day long.

And let's get real - the disappearance of the Lance Armstrong story from the news will not encourage said news anchors to do their job. |
