Red Staters Liberals- check in!

There are so many times when we are asked to contact our Senators, our Reps and I just laugh.
John McCain and Jon Kyl? Hahaha.

But this if you want to see what the President is asking to gain some reasonable solutions on gun violence,
this is one time when we must.

Call, Email. Call again. Email again. Daily. Or whenever you can.

If they don't hear from us, the only voice they will be hearing is going to be from the NRA & other gun lobbies, which contribute big $$$$$ to their campaigns.

Because we are from red states, we need to work harder.

4. If you really want to make an impression, spend the

$0.46 to send a letter via snail mail. It is very easy to have a couple aides delete the emails...it is much more difficult to climb over the huge sacks of mail taking up office space so it's more difficult to ignore.

The point is to overwhelm them every way you can and it is harder to ignore something tangible like a letter.

This guy was paid to vote for everything GOP. He did not care for the people. He was REPLACED by another GOP joker.

I plan to send the new joker as many messages as I did the old joker. Both GOP guys moved to districts where they were guaranteed GOP votes. The little red neck do not know any better then a puppet on a string.

I am so happy California has the democratic majority, now if they would just start doing something RIGHt besides balancing the budget.

I don't know that I could handle living in a persistently red state. It was hard to handle 'bridgefall' Pawlenty as governor. When I read about the stupidity going on in say Kansas I just try not to get angry. Then again, there are some clowns in my state that just sent Bachmann back. Ugh.

You have to be hyper-aware of local politics all of the time. It's exhausting!!
And sit out from volunteering at election time? Can't happen. And even when we still lose, we can never give up the fight.

We replaced one ultra bagger for another-we only have one rep in the House because we only have about a million in population... really unfortunate in many ways. We have yet to see what this one has in mind. And we also have the DINO Dems in the Senate. One of which was the shepherd of the Budget Bill rider that delisted wolves from the ESA list of protections... illegally or course.

But I do contact them, they usually blow me off if they bother to respond... I think I'm on some kind of "list". The only people who are represented here are the corporate type as in large extractive industry only need apply.

31. NC here and "thanks" to ReTHUG redistricting, this liberal along with MANY others

are now in a red, red, red congressional district. And yes, my congressman has and will hear from me....over and over and over again.....the excerpt below is from his campaign website. Oooooooooooo ain't he proud of his NRA endorsement and A rating! Yeah, well it's a source of shame IMO and he'll learn that many of his new constituents think this NRA lovin' asshole needs to reorder his priorities. He and his ReTHUG buddies want us as constituents, we can at least make total pests of ourselves.

"_____________ has a perfect pro-gun voting record in Congress and is a great friend to gun owners in North Carolina,” said Chris W. Cox, Executive Director and Chairman of the NRA’s Political Victory Fund. “On behalf of thousands of NRA members in North Carolina, the NRA Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse Congressman _______ for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”

According to the NRA’s endorsement, “During his tenure in Congress, Rep. _________ voted to stop bogus lawsuits against gun manufacturers and dealers, to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency and to repeal the gun ban and restore self-defense rights to residents of the District of Columbia.”

“Congressman _______ has also consistently supported the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen, demonstrating a strong commitment to the Second Amendment and our hunting heritage. _________’s solidly pro-gun and pro-hunting voting record has earned him an “A” rating and endorsement from NRA-PVF.”

“The choice is clear. Congressman ______________’s votes and actions have earned the trust and support of NRA members in North Carolina,” concluded Cox. “We encourage our members and fellow hunters and shooters to vote for ____________ for Congress on Tuesday, May 6th.”

Granted, he's a hair better than that Jeff Duncan clown we just got rid of. The man is a sociopath and a freaking imbecile, to boot. I know someone who wrote to him as a member of a committee of an organization for a physical ailment. She was urging our representatives to support some funding research on this ailment by the NIH. She got back a a letter that was a rant against the CDC, and had absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter on which she approached him. The guy is a menace.

Folks, I always vote Democrat but in a state like Nebraska, it's alot less stressful to shut up about it. I'm 59 and live out in the stixs so if you stand up for Obama on anything you can easily win an argument with one dipshit republican, but he will let his buds know you are a "niggar lover" and they will have their eye on you.
