Stautory warnings /images for gun buyers

each time you buy a gun or ammo ---

you should forced look at the face of a kid killed by gun and read aloud the story of kid.

and be forced to acknowledge that you are supporting an industry that enables killers of innocent children.

Acknowledgement should be recorded and stored online ( financed by a tax on the purchase)

1. This does nothing to address gun violence.

It's reactionary and does nothing to present alternatives to gun-related violence.

Shame on you, your proposal does nothing to help with the national debate.

8. Cigs. aren't a right.

I repeat, nothing but flamebait. My bad, I mistook you for someone else.

Besides, why should I, as an honest gun owner/buyer, have to look at and read about a child when I had nothing to do with that child's injury/death?

10. If you are convinced that I wanted to start a war of words then there is nothing I can do

about it.

All I am asking that supporters of this evil industry be made aware of their actions at the point of purchase.

It's a misaction of the purpose.
And I'm done with you.

17. What "right" are you talking about?

The only mention in the Constitution of weapons is in the 2nd Amendment, which is about state militias, not guns.

25. Prove what?

This

"As a general principle, I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right."
April 16, 2008, Democratic Primary Debate, National Constitution Center in Philadelphia

I hope this is what you were asking me to prove.
Have a good day.

btw, I'm not one of your "delicate flowers", I view firearms as nothing more than a tool, I rarely use mine except for pest control or target shooting, I don't have a CCW, I don't go walking down the street with a gun on, my AR-15 stays in the safe unless there's a wily coyote raiding my chickens or ducks.
If I do target shoot, it's with my trusty pump action .22lr rifle.

> my AR-15 stays in the safe unless there's a wily coyote

you need a pseudo machine gun to get coyotes?

Well-regulated you are not!

31. I bought it years ago from a friend who needed money.

I got it for $300.00. It's the perfect caliber for coyote control and pest control.
It's easy to handle, lightweight, easy to keep on target.
BTW, I don't own any hi cap mags for it, my largest mag is 10 rounds which is all I need for ridding those rascally coyotes.

26. This guy seems to think such rights exist as well:

"Now, let me be absolutely clear: Like most Americans, I believe the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. I respect our strong tradition of gun ownership and the rights of hunters and sportsmen. There are millions of responsible, law-abiding gun owners in America who cherish their right to bear arms for hunting or sport or protection or collection."
Barack H Obama II (16 JAN 2013)
Constitutional Scholar, 44th President of the United States of America

28. Obama is a politician

I wonder if you realize he makes statements with politics in mind.

Yes, really!

Oh, and BTW, nothing he said contradicts anything I said. He just left out his thoughts on the "well-regulated" and "militia" parts of the 2nd Amendment for political expediency.

Did I mention he's a politician?

9. I suggested this in some other threads

Like in buyig cigarettes there should be a mandatory warning when buying amunition. And make it really abhorrent. Dead children.

That might have an effect.
Gun safety is an oxymoron.

14. Maybe

Maybe it would only help strengthen the idea that they are purchasing the gun to protect their family, their children, from suffering such an awful outcome should their home be broken into by criminals and their children suffer the same horrible fate, and they could not prevent it?

18. The idea would backfire

Remember that Delicate Flowers buy guns because they're scared. Real scared. Viewing these pictures would scare them even more (if you can imagine that), and they would buy more Preciouses "to keep safer!"

27. Awesome idea. And let's make a woman seeking abortions read

stories about kids who weren't aborted and look at pictures of her fetus...

Who could object to running a nation like a Cambodian reeducation camp?

Nobody should be "forced to look at" things and be forced to sign an acknowledgment that they believe things they don't believe.

This sort of totalitarian power fantasy should be left to the RW.
