Of course this is merely my opinion.....I think,in every phase of her life,beauty pageant contestant,politician/Governor,author,TV personality/pundit,she's been nothing more than a puppet......The public face of someone else's agendas...

I mean,with the command of language and vocabulary she displays,I just can't buy into the notion of her actually authoring a book....I think,on television,she just mouths words others place in her narrow little mind....I believe with every fiber of my being that,as Governor,she was under the total control of nefarious others,most notably her husband,reTodd,who was himself being paid to be her "handler"....I think if ANYone could be even loosely described as clever,in that family,it would be reTodd....

I'm convinced that had she been left to her own devices,no one would be discussing her on any substantial level....She'd be enjoying the same amount of fame that I do.....None!...

I won't dispute her being a grifter,but she isn't the ring leader,by any stretch...She's every bit the tool of monied interests,that Boy George Bewsh is......

The luck of having McCain drive a dump truck full of money up to her front door was what put her on the national scene - like you said - as a puppet.

But she was a cunning grifter all on her (and Todd's?) own. The only difference is, without McCain (and HIS handlers) she would still be grifting penny ante $50 dollar a day per deims, construction supplies and tax payer-paid vacations for her kids all on her own.

She may have stumbled in to national prominence, but she was always going to excel in some place in life because she was out to win and be the boss of whatever room she ended up in, even if she didn't scruple about what means she used to make it to the front of the line. Ambition doesn't require book-learnin' or even core logical functioning about public policy. But there is a kind of intelligence--people smarts and the ability to tell crowds what they want to hear--that guides her political and career moves. She's no rocket surgeon, but do not ever dismiss her as merely dumb or as Todd's muppet. She may not know algebra, but she knows exactly what she's doing.

Senator McGoo's running mate, I wrote an essay about why I thought she was selected and what I thought of her alleged qualifications. And I was correct on all counts after only seeing her debut outing. All I saw as far as "qualifications" was her anatomy. I further developed the hypothesis that she and Bachmann were both "placed" in office in their respective states as examples of how women would function in office... inefficiently, subject to flights of fancy when actually attempting to think... very much like what we see playing out on a grander scale with the Teabag society attempting to show how inept the African-American president would be/is by denying him the right of office by refusing to legislate because he did win office. Now that he has done so twice, I speculate that this faction of shills will default on the debt ceiling as punishment for the re-election of the person they despise and would do anything to thwart his legacy of anything but inept and as a failure. Since we voters showed them up, we are going to be punished, mark my words, it's their only train of thought now, you can see it in their eyes and the tone of voice, the smarmy bastids.
