1. You have to take it up with the Republicans in Congress.

Clearly they are at fault here.

2. Sorry that this is causing you a hardship, but

it's simply a restoration of the payroll tax that you'd previously been required to pay. I've paid those taxes for over thirty years, and don't begrudge the contribution to retirement benefits at all.

3. Yup I've been paying those taxes since the summer of '62

That would make it 50 years and I don't begrudge my tax money going for any social program

9. I'm fine with that as well. If this "holiday" was extended, the financial status

of Social Security and Medicare would suffer making it easier for Republicans to attack these vital programs.

10. The "holiday" was a bad idea from the start.

I just thought it would be beneficial to have the actual rate facts on the table.

13. Interesting to see how the rates have progressed. Not bad, really,

considering how much the cost of energy and staples like milk and bread have increased over the same span of time.

Just one possibility anyway.

5. This is the price we had to pay...

so that rich people could keep more of their tax money.

Vote Democrat!

7. You're not the only one...

"While I'm still not happy about it..."

You're not the only one; many people are unhappy that they are being forced to pay their fair share.

14. Where were you when your paycheck went up?

Never noticed it? Or just absolutely clueless about your own paycheck?

Why weren't you on here thanking Obama when you got some relief?

I think I know the answer to that....
