My "spidy sense" tells me this not a legit email from my ISP company (wide open west)
I got this email asking for the following information;
Date of Birth:
Your Country or Territory:
Was I wrong to send "them" back information that I didn't trust "them."
This seems like phishing to me.

3. I got the call from "Microsoft"
but I laughed in his face. "Hello, I'm blah blah calling from Microsoft and we have detected a serious virus on your computer. We need you to do this and this...."

4. I got that one too. The guy even gave me a phone number when I asked if I could "call him back."
I checked the number on the internet and found several complaints about scam attempts. Then I called the number and told them I had reported them to the authorities and hung up.
I also called the fraud dept of my credit card to report this call even tho I had not given the caller any cc number. I wanted them to know that this one is "out there." They hadn't heard of it but were glad I called to alert them.
