Another allegation of rape involving Steubenville football team

"Federal Agents are investigating another allegation of sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at a Prom party at which several members of Steubenville’s Big Red football team were present, it can be revealed today.

MailOnline has learned that a report was filed with Steubenville City Police in September and relates to an incident that allegedly took place at a house party in the small Ohio town last April.

Approached by MailOnline the family of this latest ‘victim’ declined to comment. Her step-father explained: ‘We’ve been advised by our lawyer not to say anything.' He agreed that, ‘anything involving Big Red football players is hot right now,’ adding ‘that’s the problem.’

The girl is being advised by Bob Fitzsimmons, attorney for the 16-year-old girl at the centre of the Ohio rape case currently.

This was posted in breaking news which was then locked, I guess due to news source? I found it while searching for the 300 page manuscript of hearing. So I hope it is in the right place.

1. You know, whoever got them that apartment and

all that have been covering up everything the football team did that was wrong, is just as guilty as the boys doing the crime. THey led them to believe that it was all fun and games. That they were immune to prosecution and could do pretty much anything they wanted in that apartment.

Many of those boys probably would not have been rapist if not put into this situation of false entitlement and protection.

That does not excuse it, but they've obviously been doing this shit a while and were led to believe by the adults and law that it was ok to do so.

4. I've read allegations that the apartment in question was rented in exchange for

photographs of minors engaged in illegal activities.

I'll look for the linkes...

8. I read that too

The adult who set that up is at least as guilty as the teens involved.

3. If a couple of Steubeville rapists are found guilty ...

... many more victims will come forward. Probably not all from this generation. I'd bet this practice has history.

6. A lady on Facebook, using her real name...

said the same thing happened to her in 1995 and comments on how Sheriff Abdalla responded to her when she reported it.

5. It was locked because...

The story was published more than 24 hours ago. Anything posted in LBN has to have been published within that time period.

If you find the manuscript, please post it. Thanks!

9. Why is the word "victim" in quotes?

That kinda indicates, to me anyway, that there is some question of truth to whether or not this 14 yr old was a victim or not.

10. I noticed that too

Perhaps it's part of the journalistic practice of 'presumed innocence' for the accused.
