I am milktoast for Chuck Hagel.

I'm not sure what that means, but I have no problem with him being the next Secretary of Defense.

1. I have always held him in higher esteem than...neocons and teabaggers

But honestly, I agree that perhaps the bitter-defense spending cut-pill would be easier to sell with republicans assisting the president.

2. I don't care for any of the Iraq War Yes voters. Add the anti gay bullshit and his anti choice

positions and votes and the fact that he's a Republican and he's pretty much a list of things I don't like.
Do you support him because of his Iraq War Yes vote or in spite of that? Because of the anti gay crap or in spite of that? Does his anti choice policy make you like him more or less?

3. Listening to this morning news show, I've heard no one say the Chuck Hagel wouldn't be confirmed.

4. Is that a breakfast food?

Or are you actually milquetoast?

6. Milk toast is actually eaten for breakfast?

I seem to remember from my childhood, it was a dish served to infirm people close to death.

5. Since he's going for Secretary of Defense, I am for him.

The Secretary of Defense is not really a powerful post when it comes to gay rights or the right to choose, except possibly in how the military itself handles such issues. As to his military policies, I support both a more modest foreign policy and some military cuts, hence I think he's a good choice for Sec Def.

7. I think you mean milquetoast, and I'm not sure that's exactly what you are.

a very timid, unassertive, spineless person, especially one who is easily dominated or intimidated: a milquetoast who's afraid to ask for a raise.
Also called Caspar Milquetoast.
