Erstwhile Musician Billy Corgan Comes Out in Support of Alex Jones
http://grungereport.net/?p=20256
"Alex Jones appeared on Piers Morgan’s show on CNN a couple of days ago to debate gun control. On Jones’ radio show he said that after the interview, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, his friend and a listener of the show, sent a text message that said, ‘Alex you broke people’s hypnosis, you couldn’t have done a better job.’" LuLz!

1. Way to ruin 'Smashing Pumpkins'.

How/when/why did Billy Corgan become a batshit crazy gun nut?

2. He's been a kooky conspiracy nut for some time now
|
Really far out on too many topics to recall. Then there's the hazily fundie religious elements.

Agree with you, there.
Don't think BC ever forgave Mr. Malkmus for this one, either. |

10. I'd LOVE to be an "erstwhile" musician whose band has sold over 17,000,000 albums.
|
And, I guess he'd have to get some credit for their success seeing as how he's the only member who's been part of the band since its inception.
Erstwhile... LOL! |

Nowadays, he works mainly as a giant asshole (okay, sure, he was always branded a giant asshole by many, many people, but he was primarily a superbly functioning songwriter) & tinfoil milliner, occasionally squeezing out an insipid aural abomination which may or may not have a loose connection to actual music. |
