1. preview, for those who don't click blindly

Washington (CNN) -- In another dramatic victory for firearm owners, the Supreme Court has ruled unconstitutional Chicago, Illinois', 28-year-old strict ban on handgun ownership, a potentially far-reaching case over the ability of state and local governments to enforce limits on weapons.

10. Actually, the ACA was 1 right-winger and 4 non-right-wingers.

Roberts crossed over. Heller was a purely ideological split, like Bush v Gore and Citizens United.

5. Question if the court wasn't packed with right

wing judges what would the outcome of those cases have been? Couldn't a different political make up of the court over rule those decisions.
I don't think things will stay as they are

13. Never gonna happen

See this here

The amendment states: "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

14. The point

The point of all of this is that the NRA has been challenging every gun control law they can in the courts. The results have pretty much been similar to this case. Given that, it seems that any new legislation will certainly be challenged in court.
