Watching Elizabeth Warren on The Daily Show - she is not doing well
I want her to win. But she is not presenting well on The Daily Show which is a friendly venu. She will not lighten up. I hope she does better on the campaign trail.

1. Yeah, she's no Daniels.

She's great. She's showing passion and enthusiasm. |

5. She kept ignoring John Stewart
|
When he would ask a legit question or even a joke - that was intended to make her look good. Again, I want her to win but she needs to present well - and it was not happening. Stewart ended the interview and said he would post it online.

That was one of the best interview segments in a while. |

7. I agree

I think the fact she is not the same old bullshit politician we are used to seeing is a great thing!
She is honest and that is refreshing. |

I didn't see the same interview the OP saw, I guess. |

4. I don't like passive women...
|
I don't like women who "know their place"
I want her passionate. I want her breathing fire, goddam it! This is about the future of our country, not looking cool on TV. We can all lighten up when we're sure the country will survive. |

6. She knows her numbers :)
|
That counts big time when people actually hear the numbers and percentages spent by the government on programs. I learned in quick form from this interview that compared to Europe and China we are spending squat on our infrastructure.

8. She doesn't need to sell you. She just needs to sell the people of Massachusetts.
|
She's doing just that.
I don't want her to "lighten up." She's running against a frigging naked lightweight. We face serious issues ahead--we don't need a smiling stumblebum in a barn coat and a crappy truck to make us feel special. |

12. Elizabeth Warren raises $5.7M in Q4, dwarfing Scott Brown's haul
|
According to a recent UMass Amherst Poll, Warren held a slight, four-point lead over Brown among registered voters, garnering 43% to Brown’s 39%. But the margin fell within the survey’s sampling error.

16. Really? That is the first interview I've seen of her, but I thought she was great.
|
She wasn't at all like an average politician, she was honest and passionate. Jon joked about her not wavering on picking a football team, but he highlighted an important point. She isn't a normal politician and I'm glad of it. Maybe once she's done in Massachusetts, she'll make a fun for the WH.

|
I haven't seen this particular interview, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. The people who are the most charming on those two shows are often the bad guys, actually.

|
I came away with the completely opposite impression.
Through DU I've been hearing great things about her but this was also my first time actually seeing her interviewed and all I could think was "HELL YEAH!" I look forward to someday voting for her for president. |

I was actually thinking this: damn sexism! Because it's obvious that in the reigning culture she reads as too caring and agitated, which can be allowed in a Senator from Massachusetts but lacks the brutish simplemindedness and insensitivity required of executive "leaders." |
