Jon Stewart is the best news man on TV.

His opening segment about Rupert Murdoch should be national news. And perhaps the subject of Congressional hearings.

1. I hope someone will post the video.

Comedy is the perfect genre for reporting Republicans & their corporate masters & Stewart does it masterfully.

2. He indeed nailed it tonight.

It's time the damn curtain gets pulled back on Fox News. There is NO excuse for what is transpiring in that cesspool.....

14. I commented to my S.O. that he seems to have a new attitude since the break.

I wish he would run for office.

17. This is true. Stewart has been rocking it hard since returning.

The revelation that Murdoch and Prince Alwaleed own an Arabic Television station that shows vicious anti Jewish and anti American content just shows me how bad people all over the world are being manipulated by these media manipulating pricks.

I do hope the MSM lifts the veil on these con men.......

4. He certainly is one of the best

He got an award for tv news one year during Dubya's administration and (I think it was) CBS's CEO was terribly offended. Ha! I wrote the guy a letter suggesting that if all the usual tv reporters were simply not stenographers taking down whatever Ari Fleischer et al. were saying, and started actually investigating Bush Admin statements, then they might be eligible for the award again themselves. Never heard back, of course.

Jon Stewart is brilliant at what he does.

7. It is sooo frustrating to hear what FNC talking heads tell their viewers

And to learn from Comedy Central that Murdoch is actually by far the more guilty of what they project. It's galling and hideous.

Or something like that?

12. Why does it have to be news man?

Why not reporter? Or journalist? Why news 'man'?

That qualifies him as a 'man.'

16. Maybe they think Rachel Maddow is a better journalist etc.?

Maybe they just think he's the best male news 'broadcaster'.
