When Rs talk about cutting expenses, they

didn't mean the military--not really. Many of these legislators are invested in the defense industries. The existence of bases and weapons producers keeps military dollars flowing into their districts and heaven help we should want to end wars and further dry up cash cows. Their concerns about Hagel are centered on the possibilty that he may be the one R who would be willing to go there. Folks, this is about money and all the claptrap about Israel is just a sideshow.
