For Mark Kirk, there was no white light, no tunnel-Instead-3 Angels Standing At The Foot Of His Bed

ON CAPITOL HILL
SEN. MARK KIRK 'SAW ANGELS' FOLLOWING STROKE
Defining moment deepened faith in God

(DAILY HERALD) For Mark Kirk, there was no white light, no tunnel.

What Illinois’ junior U.S. senator experienced was three angels standing at the foot of his bed.

“You want to come with us?” Kirk was asked.

“No,” he told them. “I’ll hold off.”

The Highland Park Republican, who plans to return to the Senate when Congress convenes Thursday, recounted the story in his first in-depth interview since he suffered a massive stroke nearly a year ago.

3. I don't see Kirk as a real religious right type.

I don't question his sincerity on this one.

9. I have had hallucinations and I wish I had seen beautiful angels...

but in one of mine I was in my local supermarket and I was being "work hardened" to ring up groceries...how sad is that? Sheesh...

21. Believe me, I would have had a "better class of images" if I had had the choice...

unfortunately, the circumstances that landed me in the ICU were not of MY making...
btw, the technical term is "ICU psychosis."

4. He's my Senator and I'm glad he's making a good recovery, but I was hoping that

instead of seeing Angels, he would follow the light to Universal Healthcare. Unfortunately, his stance on healthcare doesn't seem to have changed.

Welcome back to the middle tier of flat earth Senator.

10. Sorry, Mark Kirk is the one who LIED all the way through his

Senate Campaign. That's what happens when you have a rep for Lying. No one believes anything you say unless proven otherwise. At least I don't.

Why wouldn't people welcome death if they were so faithful? Nope they fear the hell out of it.

19. White Angels...Yeah

I used to get "White Angels" from Doug the doper in High School. Two for $5.00

After a couple of days on THOSE things I had to say "No, I'll hold off" too!
