My wife gets excited if she's picked for a pat down by the TSA.
And not just a pat down. She likes to get pulled aside to go through the body scanner as well.
Am I lucky? Is she weird? What's up?

Thanksgiving, both my wife and I got selected for the scanner at MSP (Minneapolis). My wife thought it was interesting to get scanned. I didn't mind, even when my loose jeans caused an alert on my right ankle, which got patted down by a TSA person. It was seriously no big deal. They're using the microwave scanners, not the x-ray.

I think once you've gone through a childbirth or two, especially if it was in a teaching hospital where they bring in seven interns to stick their hands up the, um, "birth canal," you really lose all inhibitions.
I can't say I like being pulled aside for the scans (I'm usually anxious to get to the gate), but I don't feel invaded by it that much. We're used to getting felt up. |
