Please help me debunk this bullshit. This showed up on a freinds wall. She is

somebody I consider to be non-partisan and champion of children afflicted by cancer. She is an amazing woman who somehow bought into this and I really want to help her see the light.

Did his most recent trip to hawaii cost $20,000,000? How does that stack up to GWB's xmas vacations?

1. Uh. I think he paid for it from his own pocket.

the AF1 is the President's and we pay for his fuel and upkeep.

Yeah, * wasted billions of dollars and over 4 years of vacation in that pig farm of his.

12. The $180,000/hr for 18 hours is BS

For AF1, the shorter the flight, the more $/hr due to takeoff and landing logistics.

On longer flights (which The Idiot rarely undertook), the cost/hr drops sharply.

This is Fox-like BS.

5. Bush Spent 5 Times More On Flights To Texas Than Obama‘s Christmas Vacation Costs

During Bush’s two terms, the cost of operating Air Force One ranged from $56,800 to $68,000 an hour. Bush used Air Force One 77 times to go to his ranch in Crawford, TX. Using the low end cost of $56,800, Media Matters calculated that each trip to Crawford cost taxpayers $259,687 each time, and $20 million total for Bush’s ranch flights.

If cost of the flight was the only expense involved to taxpayers Bush’s vacations would still seem rather economical, but there is more, much more. Unlike the Obama’s $4 million Christmas vacation price tag, which includes the cost of everything from transportation to accommodations for the First Family, the White House staff, and the White House press corps, Bush’s numbers only include the cost of flying the president to Crawford. The cost of transporting and accommodating staff, media, friends and family is not included in Bush’s vacation numbers.

In response to growing criticism that the president was on vacation too much, the Bush administration adopted the Rovian tactic of scheduling, “work events,” while the president was in Crawford so that they could claim that President Bush’s vacations were working vacations. During his infamous pre-9/11 August vacation, the AP reported that, “Using the ranch as a base, he will promote White House initiatives in Rocky Mountain National Park, Denver, Albuquerque, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and San Antonio.”

6. Just ask her to substantiate the claim she's making.

I mean, if you posted a graphic claiming that Mitt Romney could fart the Star-Spangled Banner, she'd probably want to know the source of your claim.

8. I just treat FB wall forwards the same way as email forwards

Assume they're lies unless there's a stack of evidence tagging along.

9. Check the sources for that BS.

The "Hawaii Reporter" is owned by conservative blatherer Malia Zimmerman who sidles up to Fox, NY Post, all kinds of bullshit 'news' so I would be very suspect of her and her 'paper.

The 'White House Dossier' looks like it's run by right-wing asshole Keith Koffler (Google him) and it only quotes the 'extensive' report from the above-mentioned Hawaii Reporter.

Alex Jones quotes that same $20M and he quotes the 'Dossier'

It's a big right-wing circle jerk.

But why try to even deal w/even nice ladies if they believe this BS. Nothing you say or tell or show will disprove it to her.

11. This is EXACTLY the reason they lost the election, they start believing their own unfactual BULLSHIT

They spent years inside a bubble and instead of learning, they dive head first right back into that bubble.
