2. I am grateful to have him as an ex-President

Just as I am grateful to have an ex-wife.

3. Pisses me off and makes me ill all at the same time. Until he's put on trial, I'm holding

on to my grudge and other ill feelings whenever I see his smug, ugly, drunken face.

4. not as much as when he was in office, maybe because he is seen as a negative

for their side now and is hurting them.

i laugh at it more now. but that's only because he is out of office.

5. It pisses me off that he is not serving time in prison for war crimes

maybe some day before I die this country will ACTUALLY follow the rule of law.

It has not happened in over 50 years so I am not holding my breath.

7. What I feel is pride

Looking at him now, it's like seeing an abusive partner who I had enough self-esteem to get away from before he destroyed me.

12. We are living the aftermath

of the most criminal presidency ever seen in the US. Far worse than Nixon.

13. Smirky mofo is breathing free air.

They stole the elections, pillaged and plundered the US Treasury, and stacked the deck in their favor for eight years.

HELL YES it pisses me off

16. That swarmy POS and his henchmen did more damage to this country than

the 911 terrorist. I hope I haven't offended anyone, but that's the way I feel.

18. This is DU. We can take being offended. It's practically a badge of honor.

And you're not alone in your opinions. A few months ago Foreign Policy magazine had an article on the 10 events of the 20-aughts that were bigger deals than 9-11. Number one on that list was America's overreaction to 9-11. To paraphrase a certain obscene little chimpanzee, "Terrorists may shake the foundations of our buildings, but only we can destroy the foundations of our democracy."

George Bush and the criminal gang we used to call BushCo around here were the ones who started that destruction by lying us into a war and scaring many of us into hating the Rule of Law. And of course his vanity war in Iraq killed 4000 more Americans and 200,000 more Iraqis than al-Qaeda ever did.

17. Reagan supported terrorists in El Salv. Nixon stole an election. I've moved on.

But the smirky little obscene chimpanzee didn't hide his crimes; he corrupted the nation into supporting them as if torture and vanity wars were all part of the American Dreams. He's not like other bad presidents. Other war mongers we endured, survived, and moved on from. The core dysfunction in US politics is the direct legacy of the moral decay he and his entourage brought into our public affairs. He didn't make America worse; he made Americans worse as a people.

Yes, he still pisses me off.
