Called my Congressman trying to get tickets for the inauguration.

Called in December and was told that you couldn't make a request for tickets until January. So I called yesterday, figuring the Congressman's office would be closed New years Day and they tell me there is a waiting list and that it is almost filled up. Seriously? I'm on the East Coast, but can that many people be going to the inauguration? Sure probably but how many people from Oregon are going to be going? The staffer or intern said that they only get a certain number of tickets. Honestly, how many ticket requests are going to be made to some Congressman in southern Utah compared to a Congressman whose district is right outside Washington DC in say Maryland or Pennsylvania?
