1. Why can Fox's largest non-Murdoch share-holder be Arabian, but

Current TV can't be owned by an Arabian company?

13. I know. I was being rhetorical because I know the rightwing

is going to start the meme that Current is being bought by "terrorists."

19. Not to mention that the PUKES will further use this to knock Al Gore

and continue their blather that liberal radio and tv just isn't successful.

31. So has the Pukes meme that "Libruls' fail on TV/Radio"

Puker Typhoid Mary called into Steph today and as she was ending her call, blaming the President for not signing the Sandy legislation, to which Steph and Chris pointed out, he would have if Boner would have allowed a bill to come to his desk, said: "You think you're so smart. How long are you still going to be on the air?"

Well Steph still has her radio show Mary, so what do you have? Plus Rachel is kicking Faux's Noises ass, so there.

Pukes are so childish sometimes you can't help but be tempted to respond in kind.

15. The Science Channel is one of my favorites too.

At some point I may cut back to basic too. Despite all the channels there are so few worth watching. Not to metion TW has a habit now of cutting channels and not replacing them.

As long as I get TNT and USA I will be happy.

24. And meanwhile, every cable viewer, down to the no-frills tier gets FOX "News".

And a full dollar of every cable subscriber's bill every month pays for the coveted privilege of being able to watch Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity...

Gee, wouldn't it be nice if you could select channels a la carte?

32. I would love a la carte

for me Faux Noise would go, along with TBN, all the sports channels (except YES because my cousin likes to watch the Yankee's when he visits), all the shopping channels, etc.

I mainly just watch ABC(Castle, Body of Proof and local news) ,CBS(NCIS that's it), TNT(love their dramas), USA(Love their drama/comedy blend) Current, History 2, Science, Style, The Weather Channel, The Travel Channel and Destiny America on somewhat of a regular basis.

The following channels I watch on occasion: MSNBC(only for Rachel but guess I am going to have to watch more now that Current is gone for me), SyFy, HGTV, and Discovery, ME, MY Network TV and ION, PBS. plus the Hallmark Channel at Christmas. Love those sappy Christmas movies.

That's about it.

I could save a lot of money since a lot of those would be basic for me. I have to have basic cable or dish even for free channels now. Since I get stinky reception since they went digital. I live closer to Rochester, but can only get the Rochester CBS station and the Fox station, and the PBS stations. The only others I can get are out of Syracuse, which is much farther away(so I don't get why reception is better?), and local news and weather wise that's bad since they don't cover my town or County but the Rochester ones do. Plus the reception goes in and out.

I left one set not hooked up to cable in case the cable went out so I could still get my local news. I asked for a amplified antenna Christmas 2011 and my sis bought it for me but it didn't help. I feel I have to have the local news even though I could live without the rest if I had to. None of the radio stations really give news even in serious situations. I found that out during the Ice Storm of 91.

Brian Stelter ‏@brianstelter
Time Warner Cable's pithy goodbye to Current: Our agreement "has been terminated... We are removing the service as quickly as possible."

12. you can still listen to Stephanie's and Bill's shows online

at the same times (because they've been simulcasting)

http://chicagosprogressivetalk.com/

I actually listen to this station on my teevee with a Roku box, on the TuneIn channel

18. Thanks for the link.. I will definitely bookmark it.

I just discovered Bill's show when they put it on Current.

I have been a fan of Stephanie's for a long time. Our local progressive station was taken off the air and replaced by Sports talk so i couldn't listen to her on radio anymore.

I was so happy when they brought her to Current.

30. Well the articles I read may turn out to be wrong?

Stephanie Miller said this morning that they haven't been told anything about whether they will be kept or not by AJ. She said the fate of all Current's present lineup(only way to avoid being redundant is to use "present" here) has not been officially announced yet. I listened on my PC to the live stream from her flagship station in LA as it is already gone from my TW lineup.

17. It's about time that Current upload FULL SHOWS online, not just short clips

as I see on both current.com and youtube.com/current. Get with the times and do what Foxnews.com and MSNBC.com do. Is Al Gore clueless about the media business or something? No wonder that channel is struggling. It had good content but didn't adapt to the modern media environment by pulling videos from its youtube channel within 24 hours.

When he first started with Current, Olbermann said that their cable deals prevented them from putting the full shows online.

22. What a crying shame

Current broke my habit of watching MSNBC. I guess I won't be watching any cable news now. Thanks up thread for providing Stephanie Miller's live link. Just love her whole team. I also love The Young Turks and you can keep up with their work on YouTube. They live stream every weekday evening between 9-11PM. You can also subscribe to them and get their uploaded reports daily via email.

23. I guess TW wasn't kidding about ASAP

It was off my TV by the time I went to bed late last night. Would have liked to continue to watch until the Current line up was taken off.

Streaming Steph right now. Did Bill mention what happened on his program to those who still have it? I would have streamed him too but I got up to late.
