I have been highly sceptical of Obama's deals

Angry, at times. I did not like the deals that he made previously with the GOP. I thought he gave away far too much on those deals.

This time I was sceptical too.
But after looking at what he got, thinking about the political situation, and looking at the reaction from the GOP, I looked at the forest instead of the trees.

I now realize that he "pwned" the Republican party.

It wasn't a perfect deal, but it sure is an improvement over the past and I believe it bodes very well for his dealings with the GOP in the future.

Good job Mr President!!

1. I'm pretty confident now

that Obama will refuse to even debate the debt ceiling with the GOP. It's looking like he will just authorize it himself. That would be a perfect opportunity to educate the public on what the debt ceiling really means.

4. I would be much more confident

if the President called up the Treasury and tell them to make 4 Trillion Dollar coins that he can use to Deposit at the Federal Reserve as a threat to deposit them if the GOP tries anything at all.
Yes he does have the power and authority to do this per the Constitution.

5. There is no legislative requirement for raising it

Obama can do it himself. Screw the GOP.
