5. Thank you to all for your replies.

So, the new reps can sway that vote...for better or worse...but I can't help but think a third name will pop up and leave Boehner and Cantor both out in the cold.

At least, with Boehner, we know what we have...next to nothing. With Cantor, I see evil and hate in the picture. We thought Cheney was bad...whoa. I've seen friendlier snakes.

Just sayin'.

Gotta go buy more popcorn...maybe make a variety? Looks like a big day ahead.

7. At this moment I think Peter King might be a decent choice

He knows the evils of the teaparty firsthand and his support in NY is not contingent on the crazies...

Some of the other Reps who were disappointed in the Sandy Bill might also have a chance depending on where they are from - especially from somewhere other than NY, NY and CN...if their supporters are not the teaparty...

9. Hope for a third choice

I hope one of the conservatives Cryin' John Boehner purged takes his place. The other three can be Majority Leader, Whip, and Vote counter.

6. Thank you.

Will Boehner need more hankies before the end of the day?

8. It will be telling as to the balance of power between the establishment

and the T Party caucus They lost members over the last election, supposedly power, but I am expecting Cantor to make his move. It could be a day of the metaphorical long knives. If Eric loses this fight, he might no longer be the whip either.
